A part of me says "oh they are so sweet together as best friends or a brother/sister type of thing", but then the other part of me can't help but love the idea of Shenny ^_^ Sheldon has mentioned his many different dimensions...couldn't we see some shenny when it comes to that or a dream sequence? Like in Scrubs when all the men imagined what it would be like to be married to Elliot :) something along those lines.

@casey8155. Not really. I remember back when BTVS was on, there were big gaps in age with SMG & James Marsters (and DB too for that matter). Didn't affect the level of chemistry at all. They had a big following, despite that age gap & despite the writers initial stance not to put them together. The writers there eventually relented simply because even they couldn't deny how drawn fans were to them. I get writers being hesitant to take such risks, but at times they pay off in spades.

With all the situations they put Sheldon and Penny through, you'd think the writers would pair them up as a couple for at least one episode. It doesn't even have to be something real. Maybe they'd have to pretend they're a couple to fool a parent or something. It'd have humor, satisfy the Shenny fans and yet also please the anti-Shenny fans since it wasn't serious.

But the fact is, they used this one picture of him walking pretty normal with the guy and put on a lot of captions.
