  • What's the scale? Diatonic, chromatic? What are the notes in the lowest octave?

  • @coyotecrow4 don't think about it. play it.

  • @CIKO32123 Actually, the reason I asked is because I wanna MAKE one. Well, a clarduk (clarinet hybrid) specifically because I can't really make the reed. If I can get the notes, I've got a math formula for where to drill the holes.

  • @CIKO32123 Also... I changed accounts. This is CoyoteCrow4.

  • fuck yes. just ordered one now. SO AMPED!!! PIOJGS(OJNI(@U^&9872409580l.!!!11

  • Please Someone can make a movie with duduk, show where he/she sets fingers to make good song... easy fingermoves but nice song :( please someone ? im a newby and need a song for school PLEASE ?

  • Cool - sometimes I think about getting one and this is probably what I'd be like at first too. Although I play clarinet and tin whistle so maybe that would give me a head start.

I notice you're fingering it like a whistle. I took a look at other vids and other players use all eight fingers. That would give you more range and probably even out the two octaves... assuming it has a 2nd octave - does it?

  • @OakAged72 range is an octave and a fourth.

  • I can't even make a sound. =( Can someone please help me. Thanks.

  • Blow in the round end of your reed, till it makes a "popping" sound.

take warm water, and soak your reed in it for a few seconds (about 3-5 seconds).

This allows the reed to open. Tune it with the attached "clip" thingy.

    Oh and rtfm ^^

  • good..

  • go my duduk go

  • you are doing great for your first day!!! I play an instrument called the shehnai (from India)It is similiar to the duduk from armenia yet has a sharper tone since the shehnai is a quadruple reed instrument. You should check it out its pretty awesome!:)

  • so, how far are u with playing duduk now, Steven? ;-)

  • nice try..jsut try practicing...its a really hard instrument to master...very few are capable..
