See, here's the thing. ITS GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH ME NT BEING ABLE TO DO IT. Nothing at all. I was making an observation, an OPINION. Hw does any of that have ANYTHING to do with my abilities as a TT player? NONE. Try again fella.
@Irfan87 but why hate on a vid like this then? why i don't understand its overrated i want to see ppl doing this in a important match like this not looking at the table.
just want to say that this is a shot that comes from inside.. it's instinct. you'll never find a tt teacher showing you how to do that. it's just class, talent, experience and skill. something that just few players can do.
no im not saying it isnt good, hes my favorite player and all but im sure if someone was to train as often and long as he did that person can pull this shot off in the olympic game finals

I've made shots like this before... also without looking. I've not even sure how I do it; it's almost instinctual. Waldner is still my TT hero...

Overrated shot. Come on he already had his bat on the ball than looked away. It isn't really as great as you guys make it out to be.
Irfan87 10 months ago
@Irfan87 That's not the point. Anyone can do what he did. But he did it in a super important situation in the Olympics. That's the whole difference.

pbsmick 1 year ago
@pbsmick They say:
J-O: I think I had a fairly good control on the ball anyway. He He
Sports Commentator: But you hade your back turned towards the table!!!
J.O: Yeah, Yeah precisely.
centa001 1 year ago 3
@centa001 Thanks for that, having his back to the table and still able to reach the corner.... amazing!!!
pbsmick 1 year ago 3
@pbsmick
Narrator: Waldner lost his two last games, but he won the people's heart over.
Commentator: It can't be true, did he hit that forehand without watching... on the table?
Waldner: Well I kind of had it under control, hehe
Interviewer: With the head turned from the table...?
Waldner: Exatcly!
cnasius 1 year ago 57
