This game does not need a remake. It's great and classic the way it is. What it needs is a six-part movie on an epic scale. A trilogy for first half and another for the 2nd half. Ultros and other comical parts as a special dvd or series with all the detailed side quests. I'd spend money on that... Twice!

6 wasn't overrated. It had many characters, most of which were revealed to have great depth put into their backgrounds and motives, an exceptional soundtrack no less of Uematsu-san, and a great story with a doomsday twist. It's not my favourite in the series, but it's one of the first ones I did play and I enjoyed every bit of it.

Squaresoft not releasing a Final Fantasy IV in America has destroyed the order of the Final Fantasy series for the next generation of fans. This is indeed Final Fantasy III for the super NES. But, because of the failure to release of IV, I have people arguing with me that this game is VI. Final Fantasy VI is just a remake of the original III.

Are you mentally retarded? Final Fantasy VI is what it was originally released as in Japan. It is the 6th game. However, they didn't release II, III or V in the US. This is why they called IV, II (the one with Cecil and Kain) and they called VI, III. So in the US they were Released in the order of I, II, III even though the games were actually I, IV and VI.

FFVI is now 15 years old as of October. I highly highly insist giving it a try(though not on an emulator. Sabin's attacks are a real pain unless you're using a controller).

Nobuo Uematsu is a Master. He made some of the best music pieces in the human kind, like the master of master game ever FF I,and FF 6 jpn (3 u.s.a) Chrono trigger, FF VII and Mystic Quest.

Yasunori Mitsuda composed most of Chrono Trigger, although he has composed a few for it. I don't know about Mystic Quest, though; I'm sure he didn't compose anything for that...

This game did so sooooo much with so little.

And the story was the best of them all, it blew my mind when I was a kid.

One of the characters had a retarded son, interspecies marriage that produces a kid, one of the characters even tries to commit suicide!! Flipping a coin to controls ones destiny, but rigging it so it favors the brother you love....shit, this game has TONS more. The side stories are even better/emotional than the main one.

Gau's theme is not the same as the Veldt theme. Look up Gau's Lament. His theme is much sadder due to his relationship with his father.

there was a time when ps1 ruled the world and i did not had the money to buy one, so the only games i used to play back then were FF III (VI) and Breath Of Fire II, i'd like to think nobody has ever known this game as i once did, since i believe i played for like 2 years over and over, got every character up to level 99, got all the items, with and without glitches, ah! i remember my attacks with the atma weapon, and the good ol' gem box...bad times, but also good times ^^
