I love how he flings his arms up to the sky and the orchestra starts playing. Such magnificence..

Excellent performance! One of the best we can hear here on youtube
I don't understand such lot of negative votes while the comments are (obviously) almost all very positives...
Yes, sometimes the orchestra arrives al little late but not that much.
The comments here should arrive mainly to the pianist not the orchestra because he really made an excellent job.
For me he deserve a great thumb up! :D

Whoever used a bot to rate this video negatively needs to get a life. This is one of the better interpretations of this work in existence.

Beautifully played, if a touch slow tempo. Saint Saens created the best 5 piano concertos of all time.

The piano interpretation is very good, but the orchestra.... is bad. Too slow and "legato"

As concertos go, the first movement isn't that difficult to learn. The next two movements are another story altogether.

Did anyone else notice the Eb in the left hand at 1:04 that should have been an E natural?
Cougar7030 1 year ago
@Cougar7030 I noticed. Of course, it should be E natural.

Excellent performance. I'm currently learning this piece on my own, it's quite challenging. Moving up from Pathetique. :)
