guys, do you also share the opinion that nowadays there's no band playing music THIS way ? I don't even mean particularly Sentenced, but general...it's really hard to describe how it feels listening to the songs like this. Tenkula is a genius!

@Sorvali you're right there are just a few bands like poisonblack (because of ville), or the man-eating tree (vesa's new band) and maybe some norwegian bands that used to do black metal that can get near this. BUT none ever reached me on the level sentenced did...

They were so intense and on the contrary of other bands one could listen to a whole album without getting bored! take as an example an album like Down or right Frozen (which this song is taken from)! Possibly everytime they used to release an album every song was a sure single!

Another band that have done the same (sadly just for two albums) was Paradise Lost (if you listen to Icon but mostly i mean Draconian Times)

Senteced was laid to rest because the band saw that they had nothing more to give to the fans. They didn't want to become a band that just pushes out album after album for the masses to make money. They stopped their path together when they were at the top, you got to respect that. They didn't turn into whores without quality material.

I myself know these guys pretty well because my dad was their lightman, and one of the things why they bureid sentenced was that, the other guys cudn't take Laihiala's drinking no more.. and if you don't belive me, go to backstage half hour after some of Laihialas gigs and you will feel only sorry for him (been there done that :/ ).

I have knew Lopakka almoust half of my life and whatI know, he is nothing compared to Ville.. And what comes to the others I can say that Kukkohovi haves no problem with alcohol, same with Vesa. But Tenkula and former vocalist Jarva, they have drinking problems. But that doesn't mean that the others doesn't drink.
