C&C Renegade 2 (Tiberium)

I think that EA should create a reboot of the C&C series. Start from scratch. Do the whole alternate timeline thing. Start with Einstein preventing WWII and go from there. Next gen graphics with the original plotline? Yes please. For the hardcore C&C fans it'd be brilliant. For casual gamers, it'd be awesome to see something like that.

C&C Renegade 2 (Battlegrounds) and Tiberium are both different games except they were both canceled.

Renegade 2 actually took place in the Red Alert Universe:

This isn't Renegade 2. It's another FPS game they worked on called Tiberium (which was cancelled too). Renegade 2 was supposed to link the Red Alert universe with the Tiberian universe. So instead of making something remotely good they just shit out a quick game and slapped it with the label Tiberian Twilight.

They are making a new one, its called Tiberium, it has the scrin in as well, you play as a commando leader and its kinda RTS mixed with FPs. not RTS in the sense in constructing buildings but calling in airstrikes, reinforcements and vehicles etc. and ordering your squads around :) it gonna be the shit! and it will be announced in E3 this year.

and even if they did make a Renegade 2 (which would've been based on C&C Tiberium Son), it would probably never live up to Renegade 1 since EA already disbanded Westwood Studios the original creators of C&C series and Renegade 1. Thats why they scrapped the development on this game (Tiberium), they knew it was crap.
