People are for the most part married in Church. But in Norway the church has become a culture thing. 75% of the population does not believe in god/s and never go to church. Behaviors have consequences. Misusing sex has negatives consequences. Think of sex a powerful tool. It has a specific purpose. It creates a strong bond between two people and creates offspring. Thats what it does. Thats its use. That is the undeniable nature of sex. Religion has nothing to what Im saying.

Could you explain why it's good? Sex is a fundamental part of a relationship, and it seems like a bad idea to commit unless you know your partner is the right one. It's like not revealing your political position until marriage - it seems arbitrary, and it can only possibly create problems.

A better question to ask is, is it in my best interest to have sex before marriage? Someone may answer with the same answer as these 2 have, which I don't see as wise (not to mention morally right), but very dangerous. A far better answer would have been, is your partner willing to wait until he is committed to you enough, to put a ring on your finger? The reason God ordained it for marriage has everything to do with commitment. If he answers no to waiting, that reveals alot about his character.

Wll I saved myself for marriage and trust me, It is a wonderful thing. I never had to think of past girfriends my husband has been with. We learned how to have sex from each other. I love it! It's nice knowing that you were your others first :)

I think marriage should be based on a deep and devoted friendship. This includes sex, moral and practical support, shared interests and the willingness to work to accomodate your spouse. I have mixed feelings. I know I WON'T have sex unless I'm at least in love, and I'm 100% sure that he loves me. But waiting until marriage? I dunno. I kinda wanna know what I'm getting into in that department before I marry someone. Plus, when I am in love, I REALLY LOVE lots of sex. There is no explicit law in the bible saying premarital sex is a sin. Fornication was a poor translation from sexual immorality. In the old days, people did not marry out of love, but out of protection. The reason why it was thought of as wrong was because it was seen as irresponsible. Since marriage was a sign of responsibility, it was considered a need before sex. Unfortunately, many leaders have perverted this into saying sex should be only done for love, which was not what people meant.

People are for the most part married in Church. But in Norway the church has become a culture thing. 75% of the population does not believe in god/s and never go to church. The church is slowly being converted into this cultural institution that deals with marriage, funerals and stuff like that. Everyone likes the pipe organ.

IF people undertook sex before marriage and the marriage relationship did not successfully continue, it would be more psychologically painful than if they didn't because of greater pain caused because of more to regret, therefore having a greater long term effect in their life.If the marriage relationship was successful and sex was saved for marriage it would be more joyous and emotionally gratifying than if they had not saved it.

The pleasure you gain after sexual intercourse is a reward for the duty of spreading the human population you've completed. Don't want to kill 1 baby every 1000 sexual intercourses through abortions? Then just follow abstinence and don't have sex till you're married. It's only 15 minutes in the longest length and is overrated (seriously) to bring the porn industry more profits.
What if you get pregnant the first time? Why not? They didn't say that you get pregnant the last 1000 time you have sex. It could be any in between and if you get forced into marriage by such circumstances, you are stuck with a random person.

There is no direct biblican command that comdemns sex before marriage. The bible condemns whorism & promiscuity, Not sex within the confines of a healthy & longterm relationship. I love my girlfriend much & we want to get married. The majority of the world's population is comprised of premarital births folks. I didnt say people are immature if they have sex before marriage. My point was that the decision to have sex shouldnt be taken lightly despite our cultures attitude to the contrary.
Behaviors have consequences. Misusing sex has negatives consequences. Think of sex a powerful tool. It has a specific purpose. It creates a strong bond between two people and creates offspring. Thats what it does. Thats its use. That is the undeniable nature of sex. Religion has nothing to what Im saying.

Could you explain why it's good? Sex is a fundamental part of a relationship, and it seems like a bad idea to commit unless you know your partner is the right one. It's like not revealing your political position until marriage - it seems arbitrary, and it can only possibly create problems.
Besides, the only thing marriage changes is maybe taxes. Apart from religion I guess, but nobody really believes in that stuff anymore, do they?

A better question to ask is, is it in my best interest to have sex before marriage? Someone may answer with the same answer as these 2 have, which I don't see as wise (not to mention morally right), but very dangerous. A far better answer would have been, is your partner willing to wait until he is committed to you enough, to put a ring on your finger? The reason God ordained it for marriage has everything to do with commitment. If he answers no to waiting, that reveals alot about his character.
