@alikos88 Average lifespan is about... 5 years? But they can live much longer if you take care of them properly. Make sure, as the weather's getting colder, you keep him away from drafty areas and provide enough warmth for him, like keeping a warm lamp by his cage.
My male budgie, Rowan, died two weeks ago. My female, Lily, who is normally quite chatty didn't make a sound for two weeks after...barely touched her food and wasn't even interested in her favourite treat. Since I found your video she has been her old self again!! Bless little Jibijip for all he's given back to both Lily and myself!!!

@asvestomixZ The pet store will have several colors of mineral blocks - Hungry Hubby gets the blue one for our budgies. I believe it has dolomite and calcium in it. Hubby also says get a cuttle bone for your budgie to chew - also available in the pet store. Finally, you can put bottle feeders in the cage rather than water cups. Give them some budgie vitamins in the water and change it every 72 hours. We used to be hobby breeders of budgies and cockatiels. Hope this helps.

The vitamin drops or powder gets mixed into the water (use filtered or distilled water) and change the water every 72 hours. Fill the seed cup with about 1/2 if the seed the budgie is used to and add pellets to make up the other half. If your budgie eats 1 tablespoon of food a day, just use half seed and half pellets. Every week use more pellets and less seed until he is eating all pellets.

We found this and she's bouncing around and now she's eating consistently!!! We were getting worried about her, and we played this. She's bouncing around and eating and playing and drinking her water, playing with her bells.
Don't feel bad for the bird, it's stimulating and healthy for them.

I play Jibijip for my Yellow Pete every morning. He loves it. Yellow used to live with 6 other keets but we had to find a new home for them. We kept Yellow boy as he has a crippled foot and also cannot fly. He misses the flock but Jibijip really gives him joy. He talks back to him when we play this. There are other keets on the tube but he especially loves Jibijip.
God bless Jibijip - he flies and chitters in heaven forever now - although you will always miss your darling boy . Thank you for sharing him with us. My budgies are big fans. I play a lot of budgie sounds for my own budgies, but Jibijip is by far their favorite.

my bird usually only tweets when she realises i just woke up :( shes smart. she knows that Jibjip, or any bird on youtube, isnt in the room with her. and my cockatiel afraid of her! my other parakeet ive had for 3 years and doesnt like anyone except my cockatiel, weather its a humasn or animal! so im going to try to get my parakeets sister if the person i got Apple from still has her!

That's the reason you DON*T buy that "digestive sand" stuff, ever. It's proven to be very bad for your budgie. It can glog the digestive system.

He is soooo beautiful! I am very sorry about his dealth. I got a budgie for my 10th birthday and she died on my 12th.
I just played his chiping for my birds and they are chirping like CRAZY! :)
