I agree that this game was more of of a breakthrough than MDK 2. But does it make it a better game? Fine MDK 2 didn't bring anything new into PC game industry. However I don't think we should judge games for it. Then the best games eva would be Wolfenstein, Doom Dune 2 etc.

I enjoyed so much both titles and just can't wait for the 3rd one. But the MDK 1 made such an impact on everybody because there was no other game like it at that time.

Why do people say MDK 1 is better than MDK 2. I've owned MDK 2 for 9 years now and only just saw this video. My overall impression is it looks pretty bad (bad).

Why is this one better? Max isnt even in it I dont think. And all you see of the doctor is a still of him at the start of missions.

When MDK 1 came out in '97 was a breakthrough in gaming and graphics. That's why is better than the 2nd. It overruled other platform games of that year. Even though the 2nd was way more better looking still it came out 3 years after the 1st one, when the game market was already filled with all sorts of game genres and hadn't had that "wow", "fresh" impact anymore. If you would have grown along the game industry throughout the 80's and the 90's you would see things different.

World 2 - area's 5, and 6 are my top 2 areas throughout the whole game because area 5 starts out from WAY up high, and you have to be careful of those cannons! Area six is the BEST area ever because I love those really shiny platforms! They just look so cool oh and also take a look at the background picture! It looks awesome world 2 is the best world ever!
