  • Just finished two of these, great design! Sending the video as a reply...

  • awesome

  • Good design that provides LOTS of mechanical advantage!

    Well done!

  • Excellent design, love the price. I will be making one for my new (old) table saw.

  • @rfd578 if new (old) means new (never used), lol, I have alot of new (never used) saws and other I need to put to work myself. I have a new (old) table saw that I bought an extended warranty on over a year ago and I haven't even plugged it in yet, but Saturday, I'm going to run up the electric bill and do some buildin. Neighbors are gonna hate me, maybe, it might get them outta the house too. lol

  • Very creative ...thanks for share it.

  • I just love the simplicity of your design, and yet it's fully functional, well done.

I will definitely make one just like it.

    Thank you .

    Ken.

  • I will take some photos but I have to wait until my son gets back from a trip. I just don't know how to post photos. I liked the hinges you used and attempted to look for them online but to no avail. I just bought some door hinges at H.D. Again, your design is simple yet extremely useful to move my delta contractor table saw around.

  • @4vinos The hinges were just standard 1 1/2" Stanley cabinet hinges I got from the bargain bin at the local discount store. I just mounted them a little different so that there wouldn't be too much stress on the screws.

  • I made one using your video. I used 2 inch wheels (they are a bit small) I should have used wheels a bit larger. I say this because sawdust accumulates and attempting to roll it becomes difficult. I used two 1/2 steel tubes that protrude about four inches so that I can use my feet to raise and lover the table. Thank you very much for your post.

  • @4vinos I'd love to see a video or pictures of your version. Can you post a video reply, or send some pics?

  • I'm glad people are finding this video useful. I took elements from several designs to make this one, and I posted this video as a resource for people to take elements from this design to apply to their own base. Mine is certainly not refined by any means, but it is just a shop fixture and it serves its purpose. I'm kicking around some ideas for a mobile planer stand with storage underneath. I'll be sure to post a video if I come up with anything useful.

  • I have begun to build one and my total cost will be 30.00 dollars. I did not have any of the items. The wheels I bought were 2.5 inches (too short) so I had to attach a 3/4 inch plywood to the bottom of the 2x4 to extend the wheels and that solved the problem. Excellent design and easy to make. Thank you.

  • Thanks for a great design. I built one today and it works perfectly.

One 200 pound bandsaw is how mobile...

  • Nice!

  • I love it, great idea and seems to work very well :)

  • Awesome design, elegant execution! I need to build several myself.

  • I am going to build one for my scroll saw. Thanks

  • that is a great design.Did you use 2x4 for the sides and middle piece? What size wheels did you use?

    Thanks,Daren

  • @MotoGuy75a 2x3 for the base because I had some left over from another project. The wheels are 2" I think.

  • This is a such a awesom idea, easy to build, and also inexpensive.Going to have to build one myself.Look forward to seeing other ideas.

    Thank you,Daren

  • Good job! Functionable and cheap. Thanks!

  • Does yours roll easily in all directions? I made mine very similar to yours but used caster that are a little bigger. If all the wheels are facing the same direction it rolls good but when I try to turn it not all the wheels turn like they should. I thought maybe they were rubbing on the frame, not so. Not sure what to do.

  • @PrimitiveVsns It does. My casters swivel within the footprint of the mounting plate for the most part.

  • Something like this is what I was looking for. Thanks!

  • kudos

  • Wow. Ingenious. Simple. Elegant. Functional. What more could one want. Good deal. Setting up a new shop; believe I'll be making a few of these. Thanks.

  • brilliant

  • +++++5

  • Again great simple design! I cant wait to build one...cheap and simple

  • Great base...Im gonna build one...you ever think of making the poles longer and having a hook on the opposite side instead of the center this way you can use your feet to hook it ...

  • Thanks! The conduit is that length because it was a scrap I had laying around that I cut in 2. I'll refine my next one a little, and see what I end up with.

  • This is a good plan. I just built it for my table saw and it works great.
