  • Mickey and the Motor Cars are really good too, they do a rendition of this and i like it a lot. i think its under nobody's baby though.

  • @dolejuice23 No, it's Nobody's Girl. Willy wrote it for his little brother Mickey Braun

  • If you like RK check out the band "Sixgun Sadie" out of San Antonio

  • walkshe

I think all of the guys you mentioned are brothers, the sons of Muzzy Bruan. There is some stuff at Wikipedia etc about the subject.

  • this has to be in my top 3 fav songs

  • Plan on seeing them tomorrow in Milwaukee at Riversplash, pretty pumped!! It's about time some red dirt country gets up to the midwest!

  • Okay, I grew up listening to The Braun Brothers (in Idaho). I'm assuming these guys as well as Mickey and The Motorcars are the children of the original Braun Brothers. Does anyone know?

  • stanley is home to all these Brauns

  • i have to say, i grew up in south texas listening to all these red dirt country bands and the bigger the genre got and the more and more bad advice i got from a bunch of the songwriters the more i turned back to my punk roots. however, today... reckless is still and will always be one of my favorite bands.

  • What?!! What motivated this comment? LOL

  • lol?

  • Best country music I've heard. I'm going to go rethink my mantra "everything but country."

  • I adore Reckless Kelly... and this song is like, my 'theme song'... it's biographical almost, about myself, and I'm sure about many other girls.

    I adore them.

  • Well, you might hear them in a city with a foward thinking station...used to hear them on X-Country before the XM/Sirius merger killed it...but basically, the best country music is coming from Texas and its not getting a ton of airplay...but I kinda hope it stays underground...I wish these bands all the best, but really...do you wanna see Reckless Kelly on the CMT Top 20 Countdown? I'm enjoying having them to ourselves.

  • i agree

  • i so agree with you... i love texas country and i love being from texas && havingg our own country music that is good(:

  • Superr, I am from Alabama, but there are a LOT of TX country fans here...ya'll are doing it right over there. Going to see Monte Montgomery for like the 5th time next month in Nashville...he's not exactly country, but he is one of the best Texas exports...along with Eric Johnson.

  • @superrsyd3 haha thats great but i have to claim them for idaho....thats where the lead singer is from...that's all we have in idaho is potatoes and reckless kelly lol

  • GREAT song!! :)

Do they have any songs on the radio?

  • I am so depressed that I'm missing them at Zeigfest this year... even if they start touring nationally I hope it still sounds like Texas :)

  • that sucks you had to miss it. it was awesome

  • I meant to say i met and talked with them for about an hour or so after they played.Being a fellow musician we clicked really well.wished they were looking for a new guitarist then....

  • I saw these guys {original line-up} in Austin one of if not there first gig on sixth street, they played sitting on barstools in a row. I was passing and heard em,I ended up sitting there the rest of the night. Great sound and really down to earth nice guys..I wish them all the luck in the world, Love this band..

  • reckless kelly is so badass do the have a contract with nashville

  • god i hope not. i dont want them to go all mainstream country/pop

  • Yeah.....I dont know. I guess you have to be into Country Music to begin with?

  • Texas music at its finest!

  • These guys are great live.If they ever come to your town or a town near you, you owe it to yourself to check them out. This is what country SHOULD sound like.

  • I saw them in Texas and ive been to a lot of concerts but the concert of them and charlie robison was the best ive ever seen
