Thank God 4 the ruling in favor of 2nd amendment! Now the real work begins 2 equip law abiding citizens 2 defend themselves against criminals. B4 Chicago gun ban, my family lived there & were gun owners (never suffered an accident or domestic violence w/guns). Responsible gun owners keep themselves & others safe.

If personal protection was all there was to American violence I wouldn't have a problem with it. But the syndrome goes far beyond such a limited view.

American violence is the high incarceration rate for young African Americans ... the shipping of jobs overseas so corporations can make greater profits at the expense of both American & foreign workers. American violence is the invasion & overthrow of sovereign governments, etc. etc.

Blaming Americans for [all] the violence in the world is perhaps a bit too naive. There are places that have nothing to do with America, and they can kill in numbers you won't believe.

These ideal was what killed over 100 million of my old country men. It might be a "boring and trite" analysis to YOU, who had never experienced it. But it's reality and history for me.

And I agree tax paying is basically fooling people to pay for the politicians 7th house. The more tax we pay, the more power these grab, and collect more tax.

Before IRS was created, the United States was able 2 raise revenue on a cash-&-carry basis (btw, IRS/income tax was pitched as a way 2 raise money for WWI/post-WWI funding & was supposed 2 b temporary). Elimination of IRS & a flat tax may b a solution.

@bapyou there are a lot of us small biz out there risking our neck. Every time you guys pass some tax and law, guess who gets all the blunt, it's us. The big biz ain't gonna get any of it, they get "breaks" from the big gov. The Obama care will, by law, make us write a new 1099 tax form if we spend over 600 dollars per vendor. Had you trying writing 50 to 1,000+ 1099 forms in a year? We probably are the most evil people out there who start a business instead of asking for handouts.

@bapyou And, pfft, high incarceration rate of AA? I grew up right next to 2 ghettos, I have no sympathy for those who commit crimes. I have seen WAY too many victims.

American violence is the high rate of crimes these people commit and still get sympathy. It's such a smear against the victims whose lives are forever changed [or dead].

The only problem I have is how much money the prison is wasting. Cut the budget by half, and give them books instead of TV time.

@newyorkairsoft Good luck w/that. Prison industry is the #2 or #1 growth industry in the USA (check out the # of private prisons).  Ppl commit crime 4 many reasons. U do crime u take ur chances. But as many ppl as we can steer away from crime means lowering the odds of being their next victim, & that is fact. Real education (teaching ppl 2 be self-sufficient) is a winner, not this "miseducation" that is currently going on (which is just manipulation). The lives we save will b r our own.

The black lady has some common sense, she actually knows what world she lives in, unlike the bald guy and some others. Of coarse criminals will have guns no matter what the laws are, unless somehow the government made every single gun in existence here in the United States, dissapear.
