@LtEggSalad86 if you were sad about being an introvert you probably an extravert already. Or you being an introvert who had 'too' much alone time. Yes contrary to what everyone believes introverts can enjoy social interaction, but good job discovering yourself!
To my kind of Introversion, Extroverts have no idea how much they make me suffer lol and I suffer in silence but I want everyone to know about us Introverts more because I can feel that ppl think I'm a bit rude or something when I'm really not, I'm friendly and kind and caring lol gosh!!! I also think before I speak and most extroverts I know of think as they speak which can get kinda frustrating and annoying lol but I know that both methods of thinking is very important to the world. We both<3
I've done my research... @LtEggSalad86, being an introvert does suck a lot of times because statistically, there are more extroverts than introverts and therefore, we are misunderstood by most people. We are considered the undesirable employee, significant other, friend, etc. (At least, the extreme introverts) It's true that we can't change from being introverts or extroverts (btw we all have more or less of both!) but we can change our attitudes quite a bit with life changing experiences etc.
@LtEggSalad86 , so you have always being an extrovert then. Once an introvert, always an introvert. You can become more friendly, as I did, but it's all an act. Deep down I hate small talk, and adore spending time on on one , having looong meaningful conversation with ONE person at a time, or just alone. That's what an introvert likes.
@Tihbialdunav Nope, I was an introvert. I was able to change. I wanted to be more of an extrovert. I hated talking to people or social events. But I set out to change that and it took 9 years but I was able to change into an extrovert. I am now way more outgoing, people like me more, life is actually worth living now rather than just sitting down and just watching life go by. Every Introvert should try to be an extrovert. Its a much better way to live.
actually, understanding the unique ways that you process information, and having insight into how other people get their energy recharged, is extremely helpful in improving communication... it can even help your career!
you say the world needs both kind.. well i'm introverted, i really don't know how the world needs me? ~~~ i mean, i have very good intrapersonal skills, but thinking about it.. i think that is just beneficial to me?..
@KawaiiHanamii Well...introverts tend to be deep and great thinkers, possess good analytical skills and are also very creative because they spend alot of time on their own or having deep discussions with people about philosophy, history, politics etc. With your ideas we can help change the world. If everyone was an extrovert then no one would bother to think ahead and the world would be in chaos.
@ihatecandy01 Hi! That's your Meyer's Briggs, yes? I can't remember what mine is, but I know there's an "I" and a "F" in there somewhere. ;-) Thanks for the comment.

@ChristinaWolfle Yes, my mother is introverted and my father extroverted. I guess opposites attract!

@SarpedonMedia maybe. I feel like introverts are attracted to extrovertic traits.

I used to be an introvert, however I wanted to change that and I did. Being an introvert really sucked.

@LtEggSalad86 You can't "change" being an introvert or an extrovert, the brain is wired differently.

@kilkun Well I did.
