  • Thanks for the video! Is is possible to cold press the seeds without the fire element?

  • I have been having roblems with this product. How do you stop the press cake from stoping up the cap.The manual says the nuts/seeds might be too dry buy I have tried walnuts, almonds, flax, sesame, ect. and I don't thik all of them are too dry.Could just

mix a little water with a ground up nut/seed and work, thanks.

  • The flame has to be touching the metal to keep the press cake from clogging up. And don't stop cranking after you start. Try crushing your seeds first instead of adding them in whole. Never tried mixing water, but it might end up adding water to your oil. Thanks for watching.

  • @finalwave29 are all your seeds / nuts shelled? if you try to make oil with the shells still on the seed it will all gunk up!!!! buy shelled seed

  • @finalwave29 water will spoil the product high content of water in butter for example is what makes it to rancid..

  • What banjo song is that?

  • A standard loop that came with iMovie HD.

  • is that an avacado your growing?

  • Yes it is... good eye.

  • Do you smoke the droppings after your done?

  • There's not enough THC worth the effort. Also, it's illegal.

  • When straining the oil in the funnel... There will be less sediment in the filter if it is allowed to settle prior to pouring the oil into the strainer

  • That's true. Thanks for watching

  • Thanks for the video. I've been researching seed presses and I think your vid sold me on the Piteba. Another step towards food self-reliance and independence!

  • It looks like about a cup or so of oil from 4 cups of (hulled) seeds?

  • Yep. Of course it would be great to have a better ratio, but that seems to be it. Thanks for watching. We appreciate it.

  • Thanks for the video! Good to see the expeller disassembled, to see how it works. I really want one now!

  • its not delivery, it digorno

  • How much does a machine like that cost??

Do you sell the hemp seed oil??

    Thank you for the video

  • At the moment, the Piteba Oil Expeller costs around $150. (I had to convert the price from Euros). We don't sell the hemp seed oil, we use it for cooking oil.

    Thanks for visiting.

  • can anybody tell how to get hold of that oil extractor you're using i think this is applicable to moringa seeds

  • i use it for moringa and coconut. works well bout 1.2l of moringa per hour and more for coconut.

  • what do you do with the waste? there has got to be alot of good fibre and protein in that stuff. do you have a recipe where you recombine the waste and oil for some tasty cakes?

btw. i think hemp oil tastes pretty good.

  • So the sterile seed extract ... does it have similar health benefits? Or does the lack of thc diminish the potion? Thanks for posting this great video! Good job.

  • As far as we know, sterile hemp seeds do not remove any nutritional property, just the THC of the seeds.

We were fortunate enough to buy ours in a health food store here in the U.S. If your local health food store doesn't have any, and is unable to order them, we suggest buying them for a company in Canada, since we found that Canada has good quality seeds, and it is legal to sell hemp seeds there.

  • Does the hemp oil contain THC in this vid?

  • No. The seeds were bought in the U.S... what does that tell you! Thanks for watching

  • u r rude!!

  • No rudeness intended. I should have been specific and stated that hemp seeds which are bought in the U.S. are sterilized first. Sorry if my wording offended you.

  • why dont you just eat the "cake"?

  • Actually, we saved extra and added the cake to some cookie and biscotti dough.

  • how would i get some of this hemp oil

  • Great Video!!! I just got my Piteba this past week and can hardly wait to use it. TB2Ker

  • I have had my Piteba oil extracter for over 2 months now and have not tryed it yet.

THANKS very much for this video.

Now I just cannot waite to try it out on different things. I want to start with acorns. What do you think. ??

  • We say try acorns and keep us posted on your results. We've read that Spanish & NW African acorns are excellent to use as an edible oil, and the European and N. American acorns are slightly too bitter in taste... (but we've never tried our Piteba on acorns, this is just what we've read so take that info with a grain of salt.) Thanks for stopping by.

  • Bitter or not, those oils might still be able to be used for lamp fuel, et cetera, even they can't stomach the taste, it would likely still be worth trying.

Cheaper than flashlight batteries, that's for sure! You can't just run out into the yard and pick up a few hundred batteries, now can ya?! d=^)

  • Point well taken. Batteries don't grow on trees... ;-)

  • @ShiningMountainMedia Acorns can be leached by water of their bitterness. So... when you grind the shelled acorn the oil might not be bitter. If it is, mixing it with water may pick up the tannin and leave the oil non-bitter. And the crushed corn mash will leach faster when pulverized. There may be a way to make it all work.

  • Love your video :-) Thanks Robert.

  • hemp is so amazing have you seen the rick simpson movie run from the cure? its on google video also check out robert menards movies

  • can you do it without the lamp fire?

  • You need the flame to help in the extraction process.

  • Nice video, thanks for the upload.
