Great Idea with the magnet, but I just wanted to also mention when painting your sword make sure that the paint as well doesn't eat foam.

Seems pretty easy, with the money and time, it will be quick i guess.. Couldnt you have made the blade out of foam? and then the handle and such like you did yourself? insted of just the plastic at the tip of the sword?..

the "blade" of the sword i did like this bc i have tried to make the blade from foam and it just dint work out, i didn't like the look of it so i did it this way, the you see and i liked it so i went with it.

every thing i got for this sword i got at Menards, except for the magnet which i got off Ebay, and as for swinging it ya i can swing it around but ya got to remember that the "core" is foam so it wont take a lot or stress but mine has held up quite nicely

There is another question I have though. Are these swords (to your best knowledge) in proper scale? Not to criticize your hard work but the advent children one that you made looked... over over-sized, know what I mean? At least in the pictures of you holding it over your shoulder.

The Advent Children sword is also called the Buster Sword, but Cloud's Buster Sword. The buster sword in this video is called Angeal's Buster Sword (the sword Angeal gives Zack, which Zack gives to Cloud after he dies). If you played every single game in the Final Fantasy VII, you would know that ,yeah im a FF geek!
