And the one scene that's missing is just talking about getting rid of stuff a badger left behind, so as far as I can tell, this is just an innocent children's song in an innocent children's movie.

I honestly don't think people realize how talented Hugo's voice actor is in this. And HELLO?! Hey people, this was dubbed so that English speaking kids could enjoy it, not for originalist snobs to bash on it. Cultures are different, which is why the song sounds more upbeat than the orignal danish. Do I like Rita's Danish voice, very much so, do I like her English voice? I think it fits in with the American Genre and I like it for that and she's not bad. Meaning is changed slightly w/ chorus

they changed the meaning entirely, they censored the sexual stuff because apparently kids don't need to learn about sex until 15. the church and state never seperated.

Haters gonna hate, but I still think Hugo's voice is REALLY nice in this version. I still prefer the original (Danish Rita's voice is so beautiful it's hypnotic), but I know a great voice when I hear one, and Hugo's here is just that. Rita's is alright, but it's the music I'm more annoyed with... the music is just too cute- where as in the Danish it's calmer. ^_^

I thought maybe this was an early Don Bluth project, cause the animation style reminds me a lot of his work. Guess not, but still, very good animation.

The dubbing though, not so successful. Even before research, I could tell this isn't English based. I think I'd prefer subtitles from the Danish version instead.
