These industrial units have fixed injection timing, which is optimised for 3000-3600 running. Below 2500 they can crackle a bit because the timing is on the advanced side for those low revs. But delaying injection there to soften the knock would compromise power at the top end. Ear plugs work wonders!
@gergely007 The gear ratio for the 4th is 10% longer and the drive the longest on the market for solo bikes. If you look for the 505cm Ruggerini you will find it.

hi, heiko saubere leistung ! ich hab mein dieselgespann (kennst du ja) an einen völlig unterbelichteten gebrauchtwagenhändler vom bodensee für einen apfel und nen ei verhökert. ich könnt mir immernoch in arsch beisen glaub mir. naja wenn luft ist wird auch bei mir wieder ein diesel das licht der welt erblicken. denn eins ist klar nicht mal ne alte harley hat den schneid. so long
what engine will you use for the new bike ?? Im thinking of converting my dnepr ..but i have no idea how strang an engine i need ..now i have 30hp ..but i see the small diesel only have from 6-15hp ...will this be enough ?
@skippergade40 The chinese diesel company, Punsun, produce an air cooled V2 diesel of 836cc, producing 22 bhp @3600. I have also seen a LongPower diesel V2 of 912cc rated at 27 bhp & 35 ft/lbs, which should equal the petrol Dnepr in performance. Check the website carefully, as occasionally minimum orders of 5 units are specified. Good luck!
do you dope the diesel to reduce ignition delay for lesser intense vibration.. ?

Did u keep the original gear ratios in the transmission? Or make shorter/longer for optimalizing the diesel engine's torque?
BTW whats the exact typ noumber of that Lombardini?

@DrDnepr Hallo, i own the bike now. The Transmission is original but the gearing is slightly changed so it can run a bit faster (about 100 kmh).

wenn ich mir denke, was ich in meine Dnepr K750 mit Beiwagen so alles reingesteckt hab und die machi immer noch zicken.
Ich würd gern mal selbst so nen Motor in eine M72 einbauen

preis komplett wird ca bei 7000euro bis 8000euro mit tüv liegen.

Die schwungscheiben an beide seiten des maschine sollen das drehzahl genug ausgleichen um die endantrieb zu behalten denke ich..
