  • If the moles traps you... That would be pretty scary.

  • war eagle!!!

  • Our island is very rocky so no moles. They can cause alot of damage to lawns and plants.

  • ok why wuld u want to tear up your yard just get a pellet rifle nd shoot them nd then throw them back in thier hole

  • The moles you caught are HUGE! Thankfully on the North East, we have smaller ones that only get about 4 inches long. I am doing well with my captures using mousetraps near their holes with peanutbutter on the triggers. And now I am using the trapline spring traps that go into the actual tunnels. Great job! I hope I am as sucessful as you are.

  • how big do these things get cuz ive been seein them in my yard

  • @Ryan101695 Guess they can get a bit bigger. These two represent the size I'm use to seeing

  • i kille one with a airsoft gun 2 times dead got bag put on corncret stomped on it blood dead mole :)

  • Thanks for your reply,

I took the trap back to home depo because I could not set it nor anyone I asked.

I have tried flooding the area and he just popped up in my front yard.

Have3nt seen him in a bit so maybe he moved to my neighbors LOL

Ican only hope, he sure tore up my lawn

    Thanks

    again

    Terri

  • Oregon Style Nice

  • Hello woomarc, its tuesday aug 10th 2010, have a gopher or a mole excavating back yard, i just went to home depo and bought the same trap you used in the video, can you drop me a quick email i have a question about setting terristeils@yahoo.com

    Thanks

    Mole Huntress

  • @terridoe Best thing to do. Go to the local store and ask how to use this. I used my dad's traps and he lent them to someone. Never got them back. Right now I don't have any to illustrate. I don't do this for a living... Just helped pops out one time and thought I video it. It's not something I like to do, but in many cases it is necessary. Only wish I would have been more familiar with the camera at the time, zooming issues;]

  • the way we do it in texas..... 12 guage

  • Thats Sick

  • feel sorry for those moles

  • Nice! First mole video I saw on youtube that show HOW to catch, and dispose of them. Good job.

  • As best you can create a funnel effect through the trap claws. You must set trap in alignment and evenly with mole holes... I like to sparsly scatter dirt on both sides of the claws, fill to top ground level, careful not to sprinkle dirt in front of the claw opening. Then, find some materials you dug up, such as grass, weed, small debris, and lightly cover the top and front of claws. Keep dirt mainly for side of claws, cover with bucket to keep light out. I hope this helps. Good hunting.

  • I live in Milwaukie/Portland near you and I'm using the same traps but I'm not catching any. Am I not doing it right?

  • Don't release them anywhere. They will find their way back. They have destroyed my lawn, costing me alot of money. I have used poison, traps etc. and still can't get them. The only one I know I killed was from my bobcat, clearing my back yard. The best way possibly is getting the small gas bombs and waiting for them to pop up.

  • the hell, you have a bobcat rofl?

  • A small tractor

  • haha you dont know what a bobcat is

  • Ya know I've caught and killed eight gophers this year lol. I currently have a mole I haven't been able to trap with the same trap but it's not near as bad as a gopher :/

  • Poor moles. If it's just your lawn and not a farm or something, then you should try and trap them and release them somewhere far away instead of killing them. Moles are cool!

  • moles are terrorist, you don't know them!

  • hahahahaha

  • This person obviously hasn't had a mole imagine mowing your lawn with 10 of those dam mines out there you can mash them down but rocks always find there way to your blades and fly everywhere.

  • From the looks of your destroyed yard you still have moles. If you spray your yard with a good dose of liquid sevin you will not have any moles in 1 week!! I suggest you do that.

  • today i was watching my squirrel traps and I notice it was moving, (no wind) I went over there and saw lots of mole hills, The mole was trying to come up under my squirrel trap. it flipped it over! They make lots of holes in the yard to :(

  • yep. the trap is vicious and works quite well.

  • i got same trap

  • I just killed one this morning with a brick. I had never seen one before and I thought it was a rat. He was rooting around in a pile of leaves and thats when I got 'im.

  • Good thing you did because even though it's not the mole's fault they mess up your yard they

will infest just like this video.

  • could you do the same thing with a gopher

  • I believe it will work... Just another rodent. Let me know how it goes. Gopher like mole is directional. Determine it's path like I showed in the video and align the jaws of death. Good look.

  • Gophers are easy to kill with a pellet gun. but also with water (fill hole up and wait for them to come out then stomp) or smoke bombs (but at farming supply store) Shooting is most fun though i killed 100 last year but i live out in the boonies so i can get away with it hahaha

  • Hi Mark

I'm up north of you in Tumwater, Washington. Thanks much for the video, it helped me a lot on how to set up the trap. One down, one (or more) to go!
