  • OHMYGOD MY NAMES MELODY TOO O_OO

  • lol wtf she's just scrabbling on a piece of black paper....my 6 year old sister would do better...you should subscribe to her...expert village sucks at all..guitar..drawing..singing...mime stuff...party tricks..magic...its just..failvillage

  • @runeskypex What does the title say on the video?

"Getting Started With Pastel Art : How to Use Pastels on Black Paper"

I bet your 6 year old sister can also read better than you.

  • @speakwhnspkn2 agreed

  • I got 24 oil pastels for 5.00

  • @pizzawthfrenchfrys

i got my 24 for 5 bucks also haha were did you get yourrs at

  • @gavojohnson

Certainly, crappy pastels will be cheaper than good pastels.

  • i like this technique soo much..........

  • wer cannot see your videos coz of the texts in the screen!@

  • i don't like blending with qtips....i wanted learn how blend with something more effective.

  • @therealoracle there are blending tools that idk the name in english for, but honestly they can ruin the paper if you scrub them all over the drawing. for softer subtle stuff q-tips or clean dry fingers would work. for more specific stuff that doesnt need a lot of blending (like strong shadows on the eye or making a smoky eye effect) use those other things.. in spanish they're called "esfuminos", google it :>

  • lame! i can even draw better than dat! ...

  • so, i have construction paper but the pack i bought had no black. i have oil pastels by Battat and im having trouble with them. should i get black paper or different pastels?

  • Im a beginner and I find this helpful. I have just began drawing with pastel because i enjoy bring certain looks to pictures but its much to hard with collored pncils an stuf and i dont paint vert much but I was wondering if pastels could be used on poster board, I never thought they could cause i heard they could mainly only be used on rough paper (or highly textured paper) so this is great to hear.

  • its much more easy to blend it with ur finger!!!:I

  • come on people, she is admitting to drawing a masterpeices... she is simply showing some techniques.

Imagine if you were a beginner and didn't know much about what type of paper to use, and how best to bring our highlights in your work.

Plus, if you want the good pastel chalk it actually isn't cheap, my set cost me 28.00 for a set of 24.

I always use my fingers, paper towel, or a blending stump to blend...but I learned something new! I never thought to use Q tips! :D

  • Sorry. I meant to write, she is NOT admitting to drawing a masterpiece...

Besides, I am sure some of her finished work is amazing! :D

I heard soemoen comment the other day "what a waste of paint" But I never think that way. You need to keep painting, or drawing, and "wasting" your supplies until you get it right!

Anyway, thats my two cents. ^___^

  • LOL

  • Jesus that is one revelation !

  • 'Pretty exciting'. Really? I thought it was rather primary school to 'discover' that colour on black stands out more than on white paper...

  • I don't really like the chalky pastels. :\ Oil pastels for the win. <3

  • hey. umm do u know if oil pastels are expensier than the normal pastels?

  • They're not that expensive in the first place, actually. You can buy a set of 16 at Joann's for $3

  • flesh and brown.. got it

  • wow it works
