  • just ordered this, CANT FUCKING WAIT!!!!

  • sweep cheat :p

  • wow that must be great for soundtrack tunes :)

  • The two first arpeggios reminds me french 1900s modern music...

  • Electronic Bow

  • MOOG guitar shits on ebow...peace!

  • @drownedinsect hm, but the ebow costs about 100 dollar/euros, a guitar costs ... much more ;)

  • handjob

  • Does this work well with overdrive? Or it dissonates

  • don't really need overdrive, it's got enough power on its own to get the overdrive sound.

  • lol....now everyone can do MAB`s harder sweep arpeggio sections :))

  • oh that's cheating xP

  • Do you guys who make these moronic comments on ebow playing even understand what this is about?

  • Comment removed

  • jesus man, I was fucking kidding, no need to shit your pants

  • No! I AM THE BEST! Haha, better to stay away from people with ego problems dude.

    Cheers.

  • @JeffreyLWong

I think he was just kidding partner.

I want one of these, we can finally kick out the lazy keyboardist from our band if I can make effects like this!

  • @JeffreyLWong There's no need to be harsh now... I mean, look at the emotive he added. Pretty sure he was kidding. Great vid though! I want to buy an ebow now especially for those cello sounds you can get. Dissonant ones are a bonus :P

  • sounds like a harmonica

  • Why do people who hate the Ebow find looking up Ebow videos and commenting so irresistible ? Damn, just go back to your ps2 and fire up guitar hero why don't you.

  • @FloydsterUtube maybe because, like me, we just saw it for sale and wanted to look up videos for it... and found that it looks like a hunk of shit.

  • i'm getting an e-bow today hopefuly. they're kinda expensive and hard to get here in Argentina.

  • Did you finally find it? In Talcahuano street maybe?

La encontraste al final? Talcahuano quizas?

  • Holy shit! You just blew my mind.

Seriously, that was awesome. Keep it up! :D

  • That's a good thing isn't it?

  • This is an cool toy for guitar, and I dig it!

  • not really. If you learn how to slide up a scale on one string it can be really useful when playing with an ebow.

  • So you guys dont like it? What of it? Go get an Ebow and do better! :P

  • Use your imagination! Have you seen that guy who makes motor sounds with E-Bow by spinning the tuning pegs (or whatever they are in English :D)

  • i agree that its very cheap, however, it doesnt sound as good as regular sweeping, and it doesnt look as sexy either ;p

  • Dargonforce would be proud

  • HAHAHA!!! Thats awesome! I want one of those!!!!!!!!

  • MMMMAAAAAAADDDD CHHEEEEAAAPPP!!!!

  • Madre de dios!!!

Este milagroso aparatito puede transformar a cualquier pringao en paganini!!!!!

    Mañana me lo compro

  • That's called cheating.

  • HAHAHA - he did cheat!

  • Nice. I can't seem to get this down, I'm wondering if I need to adjust my volume dial or something.

  • Use neck pickup...50% volume...let the ebow lay in your hand and glide smoothly up & down while the ebow rub lightly acrossed the strings.

  • Thanks, man. Haven't gotten it yet, but it's coming...

  • thats what she said

  • teehee

  • nice ha..

  • mine wont either..

  • how come my ebow cant do that

  • easy sweeping. lol

  • I've heard people saying the E-Bow can damage your Pick Ups? Is this True?

  • No.

  • Fake models or imitation could if the magnetic field is too high or if your pickup is cheap...

  • um...not meaning to sound retarded, but how does it work? Do you just turn on the power button and wave it over your strings?

  • Almost...the amount of pressure changes your note and sound....it does require getting use to & lots of practice.

  • does it got any technical complication to do de sweeping? dont you have to mute the strings so they dont keep sounding together? I ask because i've heard it's hard to change string with the ebow, but the sweeping efect is amazing and in the video it doesnt seems to be hard... is there any difference between the red-lighted and the blue-lighted appart from de armonic mode? thanks

  • y is it's LED red in color??

do ur ebow touch the strings while playing? coz mine need to lie on string otherwise the strings dont vibrate

  • My led is red...it's an older version. If you can't get the ebow to vibrate without touching, then try a new battery. if that's the same, return it and get a new one. My plus bow burned out after 6 months where my red one is rockin' after 10 years.

  • When it burned out did you get a replacement???

  • No...Greg @ ebow makes these in his shop...he'll have to replace everything in it...so I just went back to my old version of Ebow

  • Why did it burn out so quick? Is this normal?

  • No Idea...I only heard fo this one other time.

You can call Heet Sound and talk with Greg...he will answer your questions. He's cool and very knowledgable

  • Ok.

  • SWEET, I thought you'd move your fingers along with the Ebow, but then I remembered that they don't vibrate like with a regular pick so there's no need. Have you tried Jason Becker's Serrana?

  • I want it

  • get one !

  • just use a pick lol

na jokin i like that i got the fernandes sustainer single coil wich does all strings at once but something tells me i still want a ebow

  • Try also using the ebow as a pick (!), especially on acoustic guitar. I was amazed to discover it sounds better and fatter than the (fat) picks i 've tried over the years :-)

  • There are some idiotic ideas about this vid clip of ebow, most of you, I really appreciate the feedback & comments. Since you have never seen me perform live, you never really get the full picture on my playing style. If you make an comment that is aimed to make yourself a better player or forthat matter a more important person ,byall means...go for it!Just make sure it makes sense & not come across like a 12 year old looking to be hip in front of a group of giggling girls.

  • it creates a magnetic field that stimulates the string making it vibrate. i love ebows so very much, gonna have to pick one up

  • ima do that like sweeping lol

  • how much is it and is it good. i just got a jellifish and there where bad reviews but im using literally right now and i think its decent

  • ebows range from $75 to $120...depends on where you buy it.

Like all gear...you have to practice with it to learn the nuances.

  • Obviously you're not an ebow player.

Guitar playing is not about speed..it's about personlity & texture.

Check out my other vids...my "traditional" way of playing arpeggios.

  • you are so damn right about guitar playing not being all about speed

  • so true. Obviously this guy's more interested in impressing girls with generic shredding rather than creating something new and finding new ways of playing.

  • nice video, negatve comments be darned!!

  • what is speed?

  • What's new? That was nothing that wasn't right out of my 1974 ebow instruction guide.

  • Ebow wasn't available in 1974

  • true JLW - first hand-held version was made in 1974, but didn't hit NAMM til '76 - but I think GMD's trying to make the point that the company did get there a long time ago with the arps. So perhaps not new, but very neatly played all the same :-)

  • i spy a mode 4 in the background

    that is a helluva amp

  • I like the Mode4...but it doesn't sound as good loud.

    I'm spoiled with the JMP & JCM800

  • hmm

can't say I've played a JCM800, but I do have a '2000 and 2 mode 4's at our rehearsal studio, and the mode 4's blow the jcm2000 away.. but its all opinion

love the 'bowin by the way

  • i just bought 1 2day and im so happy

    grea investment ever

    EBow is great

cant wait 2 master this device

    :D

  • Does that thing work over MIDI or how does it work?

  • it vibrates the strings with a magnetic field...

  • ebows rule

  • ebow rules

  • its a battery-powered device that gives infinite sustain on a string when u hover over string.

  • ok,lol what is an ebow i thought that was a pick and you had some effect on there,i am dumb sorry lol

  • that sounds awesome you actually can get a more even violin soind with that how the hell are you doing that

  • You lightly glide over the neck pickup of the guitar. with some practice, you'll get the feel on how hard the pressure the Ebow needs to touch the string.

the Arpeggios come to whatever inversion you fret.

first time I heard this technique from Lenny Walker-The Ebow guy (he's the Ebow demo man at NAMM & on the Ebow instruction tape) I was blown away with the sound. I took lessons from him soon after that.

  • now that made arpeggios a lot easier didnt it ? lol
