I must admit out of respect for his greatness i don't have the right to criticize it....after listening closer it is quite amazing.....It was just the sound quality in the first place and i wasn't saying he is not a tabla god just that i didn't like this particular clip at first! Annindo Ji is amazing
I don't think there's any point in comparing him to Hussein, that would like comparing blue to green and arguing which is the better colour. I think there is no doubt that Chatterjee has mastered the tabla and has reached a level of true accomplishment. In defence of his brillianace I would like to invite people to listen to two CDs of Alif Liala, on which Chatterjee accompanys, 'Devotion' and 'The Inner Voice', both of which can be found at CD Baby or aliflailasitar dot com
I Am With TaalPanchamSawari He Is Amazing Player And It Syncs Just Fine If You Ask Me I Have This Audio Clip On My Ipod And I Have Heard It Many Different Times So Yeah
I know he is accompaning...and maybe i wasn't clear annindo chaterjee is an amazing player...but personally i felt like the tabla wasn't one with the sitar in this clip.......(maybe its the sound quality) NOT TO SAY ZAKIR IS ALWAYS PERFECT....some of his new CDs like one I just listened to was full of shit!
he's playing a clip of the AZRADA qaida......and then cahnges over to RELA.....very interesting to watch
