    Kind regards,

    L ~

  • I love You........

  • A B S O L U T E D I V A ! ! ! ! ! !

  • After hearing "Orders from the dead" and watching this video I added her to the list of people who inspire me on facebook.

  • I'd like to see the man who could bed her and Nina Hagen simultaneously

  • @52barney or the woman

  • Wonder woman!!!

  • Man, I'd hate to piss her off!!!

  • she is actually my dads cousin!

  • This chick is intense. Almost too intense.

  • She's really something. Her speaking voice is far more pleasant than one would imagine, she is obviously extremely intelligent and well read, and she is very strikingly attractive too. i really enjoyed this interview, thanks for posting it.

  • @rinavanity translation: "I'm too simple-minded to understand what she's talking about and would rather insult her intelligence than try."

  • Is it Nana Mouskouri ?

  • I could listen to her for hours !!! :-)

  • he does not make a very convincing woman

    diamanda galas sickens me

  • What an incredibly passionate woman! I'm South Asian (born in Canada), and I can understand a lot of Galas' non-verbal communication by observing her body language and facial expressions because Eastern cultures are quite naturally physically expressive. Musically, she is amazingly talented. I had no idea that she was so down to Earth, and humble. She's so cultured, and yet so contemporary to North American standards of modernity. After seeing this interview, my respect for her has deepened.

  • what a poser

  • If you don't know everything about what you're talking about, stop talking. Otherwise people will catch on to your delusions of intelligence.

Ever notice how people who bitch about everything that differs from their own opinions try to take the freedom to feel the same way from those who hold an opposing philosophy? Kinda like a dictator.

  • I can see she's a greatly interesting person, but her confusing way of speaking can get exhausting.

  • @grandexandi no kidding--I find the things she's discussing interesting but yet I find myself just kind of zoning out on the topic and just listening to the lovely and weird lady's nice voice, if that makes sense. and no, I'm not a hater--I'm having trouble getting into her music, but I definitely think she's talented and VERY intriguing.

  • wow, she is so full of extreme emotions that she is not able to continue one simple sentense without switching the stand point of view. every word is shown first in her mimmik before it comes out spoken. her music doesn't reach me but it seems she is known in many countries. she seems to be a strong and straight forward person. thumbs up!

  • To all those people who have written very poor comments - and face it, you know who you are - We all know that society has defunked, boring, narrow minded, offensive, losers that exist just to suck the metaphorical cock of Satan - So while the rest of us go and do something interesting and creative you lot can continue to be utterly uninspiring and useless, before you expire

  • Very interesting woman, must be an amazing person.

  • She is beautiful!

  • If all the chicks look like this bitch, I'll skip Greece.

  • @nstygatr Dude fuck u!! I bet ur no prettier than this babe u fuckhead! What a low-life!

  • @mazima666 You must be into dudes if you think that is good looking.

  • @nstygatr C'mon man have u considered that babe is not that young! I mean go watch another of her videos when she was younger..

  • right here she actually looks decent...in other pictures she looks way too pale and has a long face.

  • Does anyone know what Diamanda may have been thinking the interviewer was alluding to when he said "you have a relationship to Italy.."? She begins to laugh as if he knows something personal, and I like the confused moment.

  • I got thrown out of the record store for asking for this record. True!! The shop assistant was scared to death of her.

  • и нашлось же 12 имбецилов, которым она не понравилась))

  • she is muslim ? how come she is greek

  • @tayooza no she says that "being greek in america is almost like being a muslim in america".. she means that she is raised like an american but she was also different, and as a greek she is being careful with americans!

  • @billyntok thanks a lot for answering me greetings .

  • maniot woman!

  • I hope to get to teach about Diamonda in art classes again! Students love you as much as I!!

  • a re diamanda !

  • I love you Diamanda to death :)

  • <3 Diamanda.. food for thought..

  • Smart women make me happy.

  • So intelligent and breaktaking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • rotting christ and diamanda galas

  • i love this woman

  • i just love her

    no wonder

    one can only love her

  • Diamanda i Megali

  • very interesting

  • Ένοιωσα σαν να βλέπω έναν δικό μου άνθρωπο !

  • Ένοιωσα σαν να βλέπω έναν δικό μου άνθρωπο !

  • Diamantw ta spas!!

  • weird woman,

    i think i like her.

  • @0mri What's weird about her?

  • @tarkovskychild unconditional face, unconditional style, it's "like" goth but it's more complicated and far more artistic and besides she reminds me the wicked witch of the west only prettier and not green.

  • @gothicdeadbride - oh please stop it , you're making me thirsty all the way from Portugal! Long live Diamanda!

  • Bravissima Diamanda ! your brain is awesome :D and your heart simply amazing ;) GOD bless your soul and life !!

  • divine woman.the greatest singer of our time

  • I Been loving this woman for decades now...guess how old I am...hahahahaha..I love her music and I love that i comprehence her art!!!

  • Holy molly, how the fuck does HER FACE TURN GREEN @ 5:48 !!!!!!!

  • Perhaps she learned it from Peter Steele?

  • ;-) nothing is random afterall....

  • maybe she says things that people whos IQ is under 75

  • Saló! I knew she would have seen that ...

    Truly grim film!

  • jesus... I see so many parallels now between this woman's mannerisms and those of Peter Steele (Type O Negative)... it's amazing how cocaine alters and changes brain chemistry forever... in younger days, it fuels artists... then later on in life, it makes them unsure of their words, and clouds their statements with awkward pauses...

  • @IntwatPapsmir Having watched the incoherent, recent Peter Steele and watching this... man, you're quite right! Not right for sure, but you defenately hit a nail there!...

  • Makes me want to seek out some of the authors she talks about. She's so animated and passionate about things that interest her that is good to see. Onstage she can sound so scary and intense, but in her interview she appears warm, friendly, talky. What a great lady.

  • She was born to Greek parents but she was raised in California. Her voice is the most extraordinary thing i have ever heard and her performances are truely one of a kind

  • excuse my aknowledge..but where is she from? i find her voice amazing in gloomy sunday...

  • As an experiement, I went to Mt. Olivet Cemetery in the middle of the night and lay down on a 100 year old grave just to observe for myself what would happen. I felt something touching my back making circle-8's. I won't do this anymore out of respect. After all, I have learned that graveyards are sacred places. I saw a desecrated grave and it was sad. I took a triangular piece of alabaster home with me. If he can't be respected there, he will be at my home.

  • oh dear, can't you see that you're alone here with your majorities? can't you see - at least - that you're the blind here?

  • @TheWatchGoesTick just because she speaks what she thinks? just because she sounds plain honest, direct, sincere? just because she's a powerful, menacing female? just because she has a truly bleeding yet brave heart to stand for the weak? I've been following your trail of arguments and they're going down, down, further down. "WoW, she's bad!..." you sound like Stewie Griffin... it's you who seem to have specific..."specific".... issues against her and you're hardly a Boyd Rice...

  • her voice range is unbeliveable!!!

  • I have most of her discography-missing "EYES WITHOUT BLOOD" and "INSEKTA" just love her! She and the actress CONNIE SELLECA favor each other. You go DIAMANDA-you go woman!!!

  • Wow, Diamanda Galas actually smiles, stammers, and makes jokes? She's human after all.

  • I'll never forget having seen here in concert @ the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in NYC back in 1990. By all means, go SEE her if she plays anywhere remotely near you.

  • Es una masa esta mina !

  • Bravo vre Diamanda !! Eisai pallikari !!

  • wired fucken woman

  • @ratrodralphy Wired ? lol

  • Talking about a harden face.

Proverbs 21:29 (KJV) 'A wicked man hardeneth his face: but as for the upright, he directeth his way'.

gosh she talks as if a harden face is a good thing.

    just my 2 cents worth.

  • lol

  • I use to live next to her parents in San Diego. The lived in the "Red Barn" as we called it. I was friends with her brother Philip. What an amazing person he was. She is a true talent.

  • whats wrong with it?

  • shit i'm happy to find out she's this animated

  • Why's she annoying and hideous? She's a greek woman - that's how she appears to me. Intellectual, passionate, intense, uncompromising. She's great.

  • spot on, i bet u met a lot of greek women. People who dont understand her dont know greek women at all, they are completly different fromt he rest western women.

  • her voice is incredible

  • she's a true dark lady

  • Thanks thanks thanks Jadoremusic !. I've been interested in her since I first experienced the shock of Plague Mass. Where did this take place?. I wish I could see some video of Plague Mass live in NY or somewhere else someday. I was even courageous enough to play L'ANTICHRISTO on radio here...! I never thought she would sound so warm and easy going. Very useful material for true DG fans.

  • Everything about her, even the way she speaks, is so intriguing.

  • I just...god, she's amazing. seriously the coolest woman in the history of the world.

  • SHE is right...Greek women are beautiful and sexy, without having to act as TROPHIES.

They age as smooth and strong as Greek

    wine.

Being an American-Greek-Italian and living in Houston, I KNOW I "stand out," from the rest of the women-People, especially Americans, feel intimidated by

females who exhume confidence & strength...Bisous, Filakia

  • greek wine!!!!! one of the reasons i ADORE living here <3 GREECE

    FILAKIA :-*

  • these 2 videos are my favorite interview with an artist ever

  • How is she pretending to be a Jew? 3,000 years before her people existed? The Greeks have been around longer than the Jews.

  • The Genocide committed against the Armenians, Assyrians and Greeks preceded the Jewish Holocaust.

  • She was speaking about the shitty experience the Jews had as a sympathetic comparison.

  • Viva Diamanda!

  • Ahahah... Pier Paolo Pasolini è un figo!

    ....

    Ma anche no.

  • A Woman with an Opinion

  • I love her. Absolutely gorgeous...as singer, and as person.

  • god shes wonderful...

  • Awareness is painful to Diamanda.

  • New York is cold in the same way.

  • Thanks for posting this interview. I've been coming across to references to her often but I never really got to know what kind of person she is. This starts to help me now, along with some more links that I find around here.

    cheers

  • Diamanda and Baudelaire is the best mix: The Litanies Of Satan is the best work of this femme fatale.

    Ricardo Iturrieta

  • is analphabet because you're turk and hate she?

  • you, sir, are an idiot

  • strange? everything is strange... i dont wont to listen happy music

  • Don't limit yourself! It's crippling to your horizons! "Happy" doesn't mean "naive" or "stupid". PLENT, PLENTY, PLENTY of strange, happy music out there.

  • Well,I saw some videos from Diamanda and I feel...hummm...strange

A live performance where she screams a lot, leave me very...scary??? hehehe

But,then I find this interview and let me say that Diamanda ROCKS!!! I love the way that she talks, she is not another singer, she is "La Serpenta",I love how she explains her music, her influences and her mind...

I would like to listen her doing something a little more... light, just like "music of the night" cause she has the voice...

  • you should listen to her latest album, Guilty Guilty Guilty, it has a very beautiful version of a Morrisey + Siouxsie song called "Interlude"

  • Oh my GOD !!! I've listened the song my friend an I have just one word to say... GREAT !!!

Its full of emotion... a beautiful ballad/blue song, and its played at live !!!

The piano its awesome, Diamanda has a very deep relationship wit her piano, its amazing !!!

I didnt know about this song, I'd like to listen more songs like that, I just love it...

Thanks for that gift my friend !!!

    See ya'

  • I love Diamanda (for 20 years now)!!! She knows what she is talking and singing about....check her french songs.....

  • I love you Diamanda, You are wonderful!!!

  • I like both Diamanda and Bjork. The difference is that Bjork is like this cute little nutty fruitcake, and Diamanda, is something much more serious. Both have messages though, just watch Bjorks video on Youtube with her talking about her TV and you will see.

  • lovely woman...

  • I would massage fine unguents into the tender flesh between her toes

  • I do love Diamanda too, she's a fabulous singer but I think is incorrect to talk about a "greek genocide" by turks, they were in war! Greece army invaded Turkey (thinking that GB or France will help them, but they didn't) and were terribly defeated. In fact, greek population in Turkey suffered because the Greece agression. Horrible anyway.

  • i agree but i also disagree with that. we indeed did stuff driven by agreesion but you must alow for 400 years of slavery...we just couldnt take it anymore. but the greek population didnt suffered cuz of agreesion but we were slaves, and a slave can never be happy so we fought for our freedom, yes alot people died and a lot people suffered but thanks to them im free now, thanks to them i can go to school i can learn about my country/history etc. and im not a slave.

  • but on the other hand our parents are a bit axagerating we they talk about turks. most of them make it sound like turks are evil so all the hatred is passed to the next generation and that sucks

  • Diamanda is a fabulous singer, I love her but it's wrong to talk about a "greek genocide", they were in war!, because Greece army invaded Turkey (thinking that GB and France will help them, but they didn't) and were terribly defeated, so, greek population suffered because the agression from Greece.

  • She was talking about an Armenian genocide too...

  • Respect for this woman!!

  • Diamanda and Bjork are entirely different, in voice and music. They are both intelligent, that's what they have in common

  • some one compared her to Bjork. i just pissed myself laughing.

  • She is an incredibly articulate, intelligent women. I love how passionate she is. When you see abit of her character, it brings you closer to understanding what she is trying to portray in her artistic form. Diamanda's music is powerful and dangerous and very misunderstood by those that don't take the time to listen to music that makes them think.

  • questa persona è una grandissima artista...Diamanda Galas, sei unica!!

    really the best!

  • What's exactly the point to bring Björk when we talk about Diamanda Galàs? Please do not bring your Twinky Wonder when we're on fine pastry.

  • haha, no comparision between that twat and diamanda.

    btw lovely analogy

  • God I love her.

  • You might be right, yet I actually find Bjork listenable.

  • She is humble, educated, clever, warm and honest. I love her! she's great! Hello Greece from the greek diaspora!

  • ΣΤΑΜΑΤΗΣΕ ...

  • ΣΤΑΜΑΤΗΣΕ ...

  • cesar vallejo!!!!!

  • I LOVE DIAMANDAS!!!!!!!!!!!!
