  • It's funny, he moves like he was directing himself. And he plays this like a boss :D

  • sir, forgive me but i really need to tell you that you totally forgot the G sharp from 1'55''

  • @lillian6828

Thank you, and all the best!

  • Me ha gustado mucho!

Yo la toco con el clarinete pero no es lo mismo...

    Felicidades!

  • @Adriamarin

Clarinet.....not bad for this piece, IMHO.

Thank you much for attention and so kind commenting.

  • bellissima interpretazione sandro, sei grande ... saluti da malta :)

  • @jamesmut

    grazie, e ciao!!

  • hello you play very musical!

    I like it

which edition do you have for this piece? is it dover urtex schirmer..any other?

  • very kind, thank you. It's an italian edition, the Zecchi revision for Curci editions.

  • I am always amazed by how absorbed you are in your playing, as if your whole being is into it.

  • Thank you much blueyoyi. Proud of these your

    evaluations of my videos.

  • amazing! your way of playing fits perfectly to the twittering bird prophecy. a piece full of meaning and as lightweighted as can be. Like you, Sandro, I am more interested in Schumann's early piano works, but the bird prophet is a real gem. kind of Scriabin style... :-)

  • Bravo kpunkt! This citation of Scriabin about this piece is the simple and evident truth.

But I didn't realized this, thank you.

  • Dear Sandro, another splendid interpretation from you. You have a great command of different tone colors. I particularly enjoyed the quieter middle part!

  • Thank you by heart pianovirus! Happy you liked it.

  • A very musical and expressive performance. The begining could be a bit more pp IMO. A very speaking and expressive playing as we are used from you! I like the filmique experiment with the score. Bravo!

  • Thank you musicusblau, very kind.

Yes, I like this double image score/piano.

I see score images also in your videos, let's work about this.....

  • Yes, a nice idea. In my experience the following method is the best: to film an excerpt of two systems with the camera on a stand and always change the picture, when the music goes on. So the score-picture stands always still. But this method makes also the most effort. I have bad experiences with fotos or scans of the score. They usually are not clear (sharply focused) enough.

  • Thank you all for so kind comments.

I find this late Schumann fascinating, but

as "blocked", a weak shadow respect the Schumann of 1830-41. He was ashamed of himself, searching for an academic "respectability". I prefer 10 times the younger Schumann. But this prophet bird is great. For stocksam: the young Schumann is probably for (more than me) young pianist.

I find (for example) Chopin or Beethoven more good for all the seasons. Again thank you to all you for your encouraging words.

  • glad to hear something new from you! very beautiful!

  • Love it!

  • Great record! très "impressioniste" . Thank you

  • Sandro, your interpretation was realy wonderful.I think you have gift for Schumann.Very nice interpretations with a lot of spirit.I hope someday to listen to your interpretation of Kreisleriana.

  • yes. i think too that sandro an schumann are a splendid team!

  • Nice. I'm currently considering working on the whole suite.
