However, under the UN Charter peaceful solutions to conflict are supposed to be sought before violent ones, and even those are supposed to be undertaken with the approval of the Security Council. In any case, invading a flotilla and killing activists on board is not defense, it's just murder and the soldiers should be charged thereof. Whether rocket fire from Hamas in response is right can be argued, but Israel voided the ceasefire.
