This game is so Fucking Awesome, I love Yuna & going out on another adventure with her, pain, rikku, they were more hilarious and much better then FF567, they all suck! X2, it will leave you satisfied wanting more of Yuna & Tidus, they are the most creative inventive characters ever made, Yuna's transition was astonishing, nothing nobody has ever seen, they should do a remake & a prequel, we need more of Yuna, Pain, & Rikku!

This may sound weird, but I played through Final Fantasy X again after watching this review a while back, and I didn't find Tidus nearly as bad a character.

Keeping Spoony's constant denigration and mockery of him in mind actually made me think:

"Huh. Well he's not THAT annoying".

What people really hate is horrible performance of his English VA, he actually has quite a decent following Japan where his VA gave a much better performance. On the whole, I feel that all the game's voice acting left something to be desired except for Auron in Jetch.

IDK if he still does these, but for every review Spoony also used to do an "author's commentary" that followed the form of similar commentaries on DVD's. (You know, where they dub over the audio w/the commentary?) You would find it interesting and entertaining, I think.

You play them for the characters and really FFX has a lot of solid characters, made weak by the poor voice acting, but it was their first voice-acted game. Honestly, I put FFX right up there with the best FFs like FFIV and FFVI, feet-over-shoulders above FFVII or VIII. As usual though your reviews are awesome, Spoony. Can't wait for the X-2 and XIII one :D

Ya know, while I agree FFX has some shit that doesn't make sense and I was on board with ya for FFVIII, this game isn't really bad. I mean seriously, I love FFVI but really you could find a metric fuckton of terrible things wrong with that game, even for the time plotwise. Honestly, when you compare all the final fantasies, they rarely ever have made much sense.

to be honest the story made sense to me. although i guess you have to be one half insane to actually get it. plus i was dissapointed with yu yevon too but that was made up for when you get the UK or International version of FFX the dark aeons are really challenging and penance is just the most difficult and awesome boss of the game! he has 12,000,000 hp (no joke) has a complex battle strategy and has his own unique battle theme. GO PENANCE!
