i  absoleoutely love high eles but ive only got 32 archers 16 spears 5 pheonix guard 16 silver helms ... i need more spears and cavalry .

try get those phoneix guard to 20 models, they are a great infantry block

i would take 2 tiranoc, 2 lion chariot, 2 blocks of spearmen and a block of archers.............send those chariot and road kill!!!.............while spearmen do support and archer for distant shooting!!!

Lion chariot = 1D6 str 5, 2 lions with each one with 2 attacks of str 5

and another 2 attacks of str 5....

this unit is worth of a 140 pts....its almost like 2D6 in the charge... and it cause fear.

Sure, its is very effective no arguments there (did i mention that I also love this model :D ). The main drawback is that it is very easy to kill with missle fire/magic missles.

I LOVE Lion Chariots. I'm collecting a Chrace-themed army just so I can have a lot of them (and a unit of Lion-riding warriors counting as Dragon Princes).

Out of curiosity, how did you paint the lions' fur and manes? Ie, which mixture of colours did you use?

I think it was desert yellow over a white basecoat, with a gryphone sepia wash and bleached bone highlights.

Great combination with the normal chariot models. The older chariot looks like it could actually make some damage and even take some.. the new one looks like it is made from paper. :P the new horses are definately better though. :)
