  • 9/11 was an inside job

  • Voted down for weird captions. Wtf?

  • So let me get this straight: providing for non-rich American workers so they don't lose their houses and end up poor is communist and un-patriotic; creating tax loopholes to pamper megaconglomerates, many of them foreign, and giving them unlimited influence in national politics, is American patriotism at work. The GOP is eating its own tail.

  • @HoserSaysWhat Yeah, political debate in the US is pretty fucked up. When you want to run your economic policy in a way that creates a certain amount of unemployment to keep wages at a reasonable level - that's fine - but when you do you damn well better recognize that you have a responsibility to the people you push outside the job market when you do. Somehow this has escaped the republicans and they're all about "Screw those guys".

  • @Gnomefro They're getting more transparent about it too - they used to kept pretend to care about workers by calling them "real Americans." They don't say that anymore. It's clear who they feel the 'real' Americans are.

  • As long as America keeps voting republicans into office, You deserve all the bad things that happen to you.

  • Socialized health care, problem solved.

  • @urantivirus Ditto, I live in the UK and their is no doubt that the NHS is Britain's greatest achievement...Besides Darwin of course

  • @TheAmazingMrBruce

You forgot to mention the Spice Girls. ;)

  • @HorrorHarry100, Prove it. You're making the assertion, prove it. I doubt you can. Even IF that is he was doing, which is complete bullshit, btw, it doesn't change the fact that Cenk is right about the effect he's having.

  • They also tried to make it look like it was dems who killed the bill in the first place.

  • u ppl need a war at home

  • @terrancelueckgen A what? why?

  • @TERRORISTINDAWALL, lmao, I doubt even terranceluekgen can tell you why he said that.

  • wtf is wit the subs?

  • This is the first and maybe one of the only times I'll ever say this, but GOOD REPORTING BY TYT. Jon Stewart is a great man. The fact that even Fox news paused their daily routine of trying to divide Americans on big issues to actually agree on something like this makes me have a bit of faith in humanity.

  • @iamchevyman5 do you mean good reporting b fox?

  • Jon Stewart is the most powerful man on Earth.

    Think about it..

  • I want to know what this "procedural" reason the guy couldn't vote on the bill was.

  • So socialized medicine is okay, as long as you did something to deserve it. Fox News is wackier than Adam West riding a stallion in the nude. At least they can somehow see that some people deserve to have access to health care despite their income.

  • john stewart's REAL NAME is hymie lipshitz

  • @GENIUS99999992345678 Wow...you are a genius. How original of you, maybe you can get a job as a writer for Fox news.I am so impressed that I feel humbled by your wit.

  • @GENIUS99999992345678

You show us again (as if that was necessary) why the "1/2 Hour News Hour" sucked as badly as it did: You people just are not funny.

  • @hadihadi222 Be careful where you click, you could catch something.

  • uh whats up with the closed caption....its a bunch of random shit about nothing, it has nothing to do with video

  • this is the picture of human garbage a tipical way that this is the way they work republican

  • The modern republican is neither conservative, nor a leader. They are big spenders who cow to their leash holders which are the corporations that funded their campaign to get them in office to begin with. Not saying the dems are wearing halos or anything, but come on people, can you really subscribe to the bullshit GOP is shoveling into our livingrooms? I would probably rather vote for a cinderblock than anything GOP has to offer. This country is screwed I think.

  • @InteGrayting2 Except Ron Paul ;)

  • @ShyRobot I agree with you. Ron Paul is about the only true conservative left that does not pander to the nation's most ignorant to garner votes. To be clear I'm not saying if a person is republican they are stupid, I am saying the republicans intentionally misinform people and count on getting the votes of the people who do no research anything before making decisions. Ignorance is the real threat to this nation, and right now, ignorance is in the lead. I am afraid for our future.

  • @InteGrayting2 The G.O.P. candidates are getting dumber and whackier mostly because their base is getting dumber and whackier. And their base is getting dumber from the media...

  • @junechris To a point I agree, but it also could be that the dumb are just getting louder too. If you have 4 dogs barking at once in a canyon it could sound like there are 20 of them. In the end when the democrats win by a landslide we will see it was just a toothless minority with a loud mouth, but no real bite. I sure hope so anyway.

  • @InteGrayting2 Did you see the interview with Breitbart and Cenk? He was the only one talking the whole time. Breitbart should have just interviewed himself. Yeah, the talking over and under people is all they have for ammo, not facts or a plan to fix anything. It's the same crap the republicans do all the time. Our plan is to cut taxes....lol

  • Shep Smith seems to be the only reasonable person on faux news

  • His conclusions are lies. No polotitial Republican or Democrat doen't care for the first responders. This man is a political hack (LIAR).

  • Jon Stewart is a national treasure.

  • Two rights don't make a left

they make a 180 degree turn around to the past

granted two lefts do the same... you need one of each

  • The first responders should get the addresses of all those scumbag republicans so if their house catches fire they can rush to the scene and watch it burn to the ground.

  • @gateman42 Bring family and friends, make an event out of it! Don't forget the hotdogs and marshmallows. :)

  • Fucking Republicans. How fucked do you have to be to leave your countries hero's out to dry because of the cost. And you won't close tax loopholes for foreign companies in the process. For lack of a better word that is fucked up.

  • @Yakiller69 well the republicans go where the money is, the world is theirs to take!

  • Make Silverstein pay, not the tax payer.

  • As if John Stewart wasn't sexy enough, this has made him 10x sexier!!!

  • @etmup80 lol xD

  • these guys are sell out bitches, the young turks had a price tag over their country and morals

  • turn on transcribe captions LOL

  • I LOVED that daily show episode...

  • Check the closed caption. LOL

  • Pull your tongue out of Jon Stewart's anus, Cenk. I hate Fox, I think they are pure BS, but what you're crediting Stewart with was the power of Fox. Stewart made a show and a Fox anchor commented on it... then the echo chamber picked it up and it was talked about for days and days on end non-stop in that echo-chamber. It's the echo-chamber that groused the Senate into change. And by the way, during that Daily Show Stewart even said outright 'this is a job for Fox News'. I guess they agreed

  • @Relbl You're an idiot. If Stewart hadn't said anything Fox wouldn't have picked up on shit. Idiot.

  • @StarvingSound So I guess far-left nutjobs are just as plainly ignorant, partisan, and hypocritical as far-righties - surprise surprise. L2Read, and I don't just mean saying the words out loud...

  • @Relbl I did read, moron. You somehow asserted that it was Fox News and not Jon Stewart that made this happen like Fox News would have made a fuss about it if Jon hadn't made his point. Idiot. Learn to write.

  • @StarvingSound Obviously you understood very clearly what I'm trying to say so I think I write quite well, thanks. And NO! FNC didn't make a fuss b/c of Jon Stewart's story, they made a fuss b/c Shep Smith made a fuss and cornered the other anchor over it (the two most reasonable hosts on FNC it just so happens). It's only once the story snuck into the bubble that anyone noticed. So maybe give Shep Smith credit for really pushing the issue. By the way, 'Idiot' is not an argument.

  • @Relbl Yeah, I guess it was just coincidence that they said something right after Jon Stewart said something. Whatever. And I never said idiot was an argument. I said it's what you are.

  • @StarvingSound BTW no one really noticed when fmr Congressman Weiner lost his shit on the floor of Congress over this issue other than to joke or admire his tone and tenacity. Maybe he should get some credit too because his outburst maybe brought the bill to Stewart's show's attention in the first place. But no, I'm sure you just want to continue your oversized man-crush on Stewart and call me 'idiot'... free speech ftw!

  • @Relbl Those two are friends so your point is invalid.

  • This story really brings home how much these politicians must get away with that nobody ever hears about. Whether it was republican or democrat is irrelevant. They're two sides of the same coin.

  • Democrats are such pussies. If you democrat voters want shit to change, vote for a progressive candidate that ISN'T affiliated with the party. But I know how it is; constant whining about "The system never changes, man, but I still keep voting the same way thinking it'll be different". Stop defending these spineless idiots that don't fight for anything.

  • Politics:

    Poly- Many.

    Ticks- Blood sucking creatures.

  • @WinstonSmith144 Very nicely played my friend. However, I prefer the phrase "blood sucking parasites" since ticks are considered to be external parasites.

  • @WinstonSmith144 haha wait a minute... :P just a question, did you get your name from 1984 by any chance?

  • @leomollon123 I did! you're the first person to notice that!

  • @WinstonSmith144 haha It's a great book :)

  • hahaha as serious as this is, did anyone read the subtitles?

  • @Krahbz Yeah, wtf??

  • This guy is right though, the Democrats are pussies. The Republicans rip them to shreds on every little thing all the time. Meanwhile this is serious ammunition, like he says, Fox News is on their side, yet did they seize the chance to disgrace Republican senators, or at least hold them accountable? No. They never do, and that makes them almost as responsible.

  • @thedacable Example: The idea that all employers providing healthcare should all meet the same minimum, whether they're large banks, corporations, small businesses, and churches, doesn't matter. Health care bill has this mandate, but the left is just barely whispering the defense of this aspect, while the right screams at the top of their lung's that there's some kind of war on religion (only b/c contraception/birth control is included in standard health coverage).

  • any american that supports the republicans should be treated with extreme suspicion. the republicans are literally against the people of america.

  • 4:09 Fuck yes.

  • Comment removed

  • Jon Stewart is like a fucking angel man. He is so fucking awesome. I wish he was more motivated to run for office. He is the type of politician we need in Washington.

  • 5:40 You guys should've mentioned how Ron Paul is the Republican that wants corporate tax loop holes closed.. In addition to a lot of other important things.

  • @SoundJunkieVlog Despite what you may think, the world doesn't revolve around the mostly absurd policies of Ron Paul. His little personality cult is so stupid it makes me sick.

  • @TheTemarlan You have problems man. Why are you even watching these videos if you don't like them?

  • @TheTemarlan all non-native americans are immigrants or the descendants immigrants retard.

  • What kind of motherfucker puts a huge box in middle of the screen so you click on it accidentally and lose all the buffer ?

  • @hadihadi222

    Sooooo annoying.

  • @hadihadi222, a motherfucking fuck-face fucking fucked fuckers fucking each other.

  • fox news,now 1% reliable

  • 9/11 human remains map Jon Stewart First Responders Fox News Al jazeera /watch?v=h2-SLhQ5n14

  • Way to go, Jon Stewart.

  • Obomba has given more to banksters than anyone. But we have to stop playing into the left right that's how they keep us divided and keep them in power. Both parties are pushing for collectivism which is in opposition to freedom and liberty. So let's stop being divided. We know who voted to take our freedom's away and both parties sound like idiots with drool running down their mouths and eyes all glassed over.. it's both sides both sides do the same thing. same thing. both sides.. Ron Paul

  • Holy crap!! Did I just hear someone on Fox News admit that tax breaks for the wealthy do NOT stimulate the economy?

  • This guy buys into the phoney left right, democrat republican paradigm.

  • @LibertarianBiker not really

  • @LibertarianBiker He calles bullshit on both sides, it is just that the Far Right has far more bullshit than anybody else.

  • as usual the WEAK ASS Democrats didn't showcase this.

  • is it just me, or does this guy talk too much.

  • @zaheer302 I don't even think he's a real American. He voice sounds Heavy and has a lot of facial hair, more like a rejected Middle Easterner : D

  • "If you are not careful, newspapers will have you hating those who are being oppressed; while loving those who are doing the oppressing." -Malcolm X

  • That being said, for those of you watching/commenting, please don't think conservative media's portrayal of conservatives (let alone: liberals) reflects, in ANY way, how the bulk of these people act on a daily bases. What Stewart says is ABSOLUTELY true. All news has become SO sensationalist that it has many believing the whole damn world has lost its mind. When, if fact, MEDIA is the one who has lost it.

  • As I'd like to think I'm a free-thinker, I have many views which vary from left to right by issue. While Obama is utterly failing, as many liberal constituents will tell you, I think there is much good coming from his administration's folly. The interest of politics, among youth, have greatly increased. The criticisms of each party are often so absurd, listening is a waste of time. I love Stewart for using more common sense than most; and bringing some humanity (through humor) to politics.

  • @Histonia Yeah a lot of good, "Indefinite Detainment of US Citizens" through the NDAA being one of them. Of course unless you think the Bill of Rights is necessary.

In all seriousness 2 steps forward & 10 steps back is not an improvement in my opinion. I'm not saying any Republican is going to be great either(although I believe Ron Paul can slow the erosion of our rights), but Obama screwed the pooch on this one. HIS administration requested the detention clause apply to citizens.

  • @InevitableDecline First off, Obama didn't create or sign into law NDAA or any of the similar, previous laws by himself. There were less than a dozen "nays" in both houses on this one. The federal gov't has officially waged war on its citizens and yes... we need to stop it. The "good" I spoke of wasn't in policy... it was in attitude. 5 years ago, most people under 30 didn't give a damn about politics. But look at us now. My 9 year old cousin has a say lol

  • @Histonia There are good points to the NDAA bill, and Obama's hand was forced when it came to signing it. Attached to it were increases in pay, medical coverage, and a bunch else vetrans would not have gotten if it wasn't signed by new year.

  • @AvalonDraconis

Please research the NDAA. The NDAA funds defense spending and COMES UP FOR RENEWAL EVERY YEAR. This year was different because Obama threatened to veto it unless congress put in the clause allowing indefinite detention of US CITIZENS WITHOUT TRIAL. Congress wanted to pass it without that clause originally, but caved to the administration's threats. Obama's hand was not forced, HE FORCED THE CONGRESS' HAND. They would have just passed it without that clause.

  • @AvalonDraconis

This is saddening to me. Since this happened I have literally spent HUNDREDS of hours researching this from all sides trying to educate myself, yet it seems most people refuse to even set aside a few hrs to research it themselves. They guess and assume, and perpetuate the idea that this was not intent-driven, and that this isn't a danger to us. Well it is(leading experts agree), and unless we all educate ourselves we're not going to be able to fight it. RESEARCH!

  • @InevitableDecline I'm not saying it wasn't intent driven. I'm saying it was not driven by one single man. That's not how things work. Yes, NDAA is one of the most serious threats we've ever seen. Yes, Obama was a big part of it. All I'm disagreeing with is the rhetoric. That's it.

  • @AvalonDraconis That's absurd. Someone forced Obama to sell out the Bill of Rights and the very freedoms that those men/women fought for? No. He did that. Out of greed; and nothing else. Don't buy that BS from the liberal media. It's nonsense. If you'll sell your own freedom for ANYTHING AT ALL, you don't deserve freedom OR what you sell it for. I'd rather be starving; yet be allowed to look for food than to be locked in a cage and left to starve. Freedom is the most valuable thing there is.

  • @Histonia

Obama didn't write the NDAA (the bill that funds defense spending), but he basically forced provisions to be put in during this year's renewal that were contested by threatening to veto it and stop defense funding until they were.

Obama's administration specifically requested that the provision allowing the indefinite detainment of US Citizens be PUT IN, congress wanted to and was trying to pass it without that provision.

    youtube.com/watch?v=q6ARkiJM2bA

  • @InevitableDecline Also, not sure where you're getting your info... but the detention clause was part of the original bill. Long before it ever reached his desk, my friend.

  • @Histonia

I don't know where you're getting YOUR info. The indefinite detention clause never applied to US citizens before this year. Have you actually read the portions of the bill I'm referring to (specifically the sections and amendment in question)?

Stop misinforming people, go to ACLU's website and others and actually read the past and current versions of bill and professional analyses of what it means for our rights.

  • @InevitableDecline From the Library of Congress, whitehouse.gov, NPR and C-SPAN. Absolutely, I've read the entire bill. As amended, they never removed the line "requirement". I'm read up, friend. Have you read the Patriot Act? The biggest difference is that citizens don't have to be taken outside the country to be locked away. It's for convenience; and it's devastating. We're on the same team. But bills of this size take more than one or two people. I misinform no one.

  • This makes me happy. I'm glad to see that Fox News anchors are occasionally capable of answering a higher moral calling than supporting their own party.

  • love the young turks

  • Politicians and so called leaders of this country are disgusting and disgraceful. I am so ashamed to be an american.

  • msnbc hires bad people.

  • Republican politics just makes me sick. Seems like their only goal is to protect the assets of the insanely wealthy and shit all over the poor and working class, even real american heroes.

  • @rodneyracoon dont worry... keep watching

  • @rodneyracoon seems? lol thats exacly what it is

  • @rodneyracoon That's pretty much sums it up.

  • @rodneyracoon That's right. People who don't share your political views are evil sociopaths.

  • @rodneyracoon Because your countries Elite has a higher plan for themselves, and it requires the demise, and or control of your lower/middle class of citizens.

  • @maklay416 I would say they have a 20year plan/goal in mind, and they are slowly implementing it on north america, not just the united states of america, but canada and mexico as well are also in the mix. Wake up people, your freedom is slowly being taken from right underneath your feet.

  • @rodneyracoon I think you're right! They are really just socialists, but to only a select group of people. :)

  • good vid, cenk. how hypocritical can these people be

  • Who the fuck disliked this video? I personally know people who suffer from the people who couldn't care less about the real heroes? This country's politics disgusts me

  • Shep repin'

  • OK, OK!!! I know now, Chuck Norris doesn't fucking hunt!

  • The only problem here is that Shep never states that its the republicans who were holding this bill up. He just says "They" which in the eyes of fox news viewers means the "Dems"

  • RON PAUL IS THE MAN!

  • And after all that, tthey don't cover cancer, because it has not been "conclusively proven" that the cancers were related.

If they lived in any other westernised nation, they would have been automatically covered even if they WEREN'T 911 first responders.

  • Two minutes in and still no John Stewart? I'm outta here.

  • You don't see rush limbaugh doing something like this for our heros...he just knows how to b a laying piece of shit

  • @silveregle08 he does a fund raiser every july on the air for disabled marines...It's the biggest charity thing he does.

  • R U GAY AND ANGRY ?

  • Bah, Michael Moore already send some to Cuba to have free healthcare.

  • and all these republicans are christians who say we all must help each other except when it cuts into their money stash.typical christians.

  • Man this guy is really gettin'fat! Lookin' less healthy/youthful. Pay attention or it'll start sneakin' up on'ya when u start suffering fat deposits in yer arteries, heart, liver, spleen pancreas intestines kidneys & lungs: Men have it much worse than women cuz u guys gain it all up in yer vital organs; women gain on the outsides of the skeleton. Fat will get u guys into serious problems b4 u have the slightest notion what's happened, then it's a FAT shock from the doc. So respect yerself.

  • You guys need to stop watching television, and start researching what both parties are doing. The parties are here to serve we the people are they not? Well neither of them are serving the people well. My party and the other party both endorse torture, which we all know is illegal according to our constitution and international law and is immoral as well, My party and the other party both endorse invading Iran a country with which we are not at war, and have been interfering with since 1953.

  • Both parties just passed a bill that gives the military the right to detain American Citizens indefinitely without trial or lawyer if they deem you to be a threat, who decides that? The parties are not serving the people anymore. I'm so glad for the internet that I can find out anything I need about any of the stories I read.

  • Jon Stewart should have Cenk on the show, they are both awesome

  • Do you think the TV sells you truth?

or that the news is all objective?

We are the glowing square collective.

    We are dull and ineffective.

    - Cody Weber

  • Shepp Smith.. be careful you are going to loose your job there at fox noise..you are sounding compassionate and liberal. Murdoch is going to fire you. you dont sound repugnicant anymore.

  • I loved this... In my mind I see Jon Stewart riding in on a white stallion and kicking the GOP to the ground and straight up tea bagging them.

  • why the hell is Shep Smith working for fox news?

  • @zepps88 So FOX can have some semblance of legitimacy.

  • Fox can be a force for good. theres nothing wrong with right wingers or such a bias. but lying, trashing and just bad journalism destroys their potential. they are in a position no one else IN THE WORLD HAS yet they choose to, mostly, be lazy and do harm when they could force govt to actually work FOR THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR THEM neither parties do much ofr their voters.

  • Gotta love chicken shit racest....not only is ignorance a form of raceism...but pure fucken stupidness & being a coward. YOU WHITE PEOPLE ARE A SHIT STAIN ON MY RACE......get out a this country & you wont have to worry about whos on walefare!!! Fucken dumbass!!!!

  • Shep Smith, the voice of sanity since 1996.

  • VOTE

    RON PAUL 2012

  • @hagwahish Get the fuck out of here with that shit!!

  • Politicians left to be politicians will GUESS WHAT??? That's right BE POLITICIANS! Obama's doing same right now w/ THE KEYSTONE PIPELINE BILL. Being so fixated on his class warfare BULLSHIT HARANGUE that only appeals to extreme elements of his "base", he's willing to forego creating 10's of K's of REAL JOBS, many of them UNION JOBS. He'd rather extract a mere "drop in the bucket" of revenues from "millionaires". Makes about as much sense as holding the bill in this video hostage, right?

  • The Turks are tools. Baffoons at best.

  • whats this about tits???

  • JON STEWART IS COOL

  • i got your evidence i saw it on fox

  • Did that douche just say "We're going to pay for tax cuts for billionaires who don't even need them?" Sounds like FOX is way off their talking points.

  • Great job. Jon stewart please keep doing what you do best. also i'm sorry maybe it's me but what's with the caption on your video?

  • The "ground zero" mosque opened 2 months ago to ZERO fanfare or protest. The outrage generated by Fox the summer before was clearly fake. Unless they're told what to think about by Fox, their audience has no thoughts of their own.

  • @Saebeck32 If I'm remembering my bullshit controversies correctly it wasn't even a mosque, but a community center with a prayer area. I think.

  • @TheRealScaraban Thats right. It was like a muslim YMCA. Fox News is a national disgrace.

  • @Saebeck32 The rest of the MSM is just as bad as Fox News

  • @DP3mo24hofosho No, it's not..and cleavage videos? really?! I guess you are one of the shallow retards Fox hires their family values promoting, scantily clad anchor whores for so they can keep you dumbed down by jerking off instead of getting facts elsewhere.

  • @Somai82 Msnbc lies just as much to promote thier liberal/progressive candidates as Fox News does to promote thier conservatives. If you don't believe me, I can send you links. Otherwise, look it up

  • @DP3mo24hofosho Can you send or source an instance where msnbc has been caught using fake footage or audio to promote their ideological point because as you may already suspect, Fox has too many. And if we were to compare false stats, suggestive questions, selective guests, cutting off mics etc. Fox again, drives it home.

Fox viewers also have been consistently polled as the least informed viewers. Your comparison is moot.

  • @DP3mo24hofosho MSNBC don't HAVE to lie to promote a liberal/progressive party line.

    Facts have a liberal bias.
