I got this and finished. It's a good game, but being a huge fan of the soundtrack, they really screwed up what music plays where. (For instance, when you rescue the babies in the mines, it plays the menu theme and not the light-hearted cheery music that's supposed to play!)

I have this for N64 and PS1 and unkike most people i sorta like the music on the N64:) Also the PS1 version was good too although they got rid of 200 lums and made the game shorter:( Sadly i dont have a Dreamcast yet i want one badly but for now N64 is the best:D

This version of the game is based closely on the Dreamcast one (though for some reason they removed Globox Village and the Glob Crystals, and Axel and Foutch no longer have those auras). Apart from the necessary graphical and audio downsampling, this is a pretty good port. Better than the N64 and DS versions, at least.

Gameloft – have you considered porting the original 2D Rayman game to iPhone/iPod Touch too? It's a delightful little game and I think many Rayman fans would appreciate it.

@SPRLDR Oh, and if you do decide to port the original, make sure you base your port on the obscure but superior Sega Saturn version. It's got a whole host of minor improvements. Though you may wish to include the better-sounding sound effects from the PlayStation version, as well as a couple of minor things like the transparent mist in the Dream Forest and the 3D animations in the end credits. And there's also that Arkanoid-style minigame from the PC version.

Is the demo no longer available? I mean, on the iPhone, There USED to be the first level to play, but all I can play now is the "lift game" and that's it...

muhahahah iphone sucks again.... with the release of fpsece 1.0 idownloaded rayman 2 for ps1,sheep dog n wolf for ps 1 runned them on my omnia i900 even not i8000(omnia II) and got 32 fps on each game its verrryyyyy playabale so idont know what apple should do, to make the iphone better, coz a 2008 phone is beating it -_-

Wow, playing Rayman 2 on iPhone is a nightmare! I played until the last level and it was the most frustrating iPhone game i have ever played. The controls are good (after you played some other games with similar controls it's like a controller). But the levels are much harder to play on iPhone (nothing changed to make it playable) and the save points are placed very bad. And the worst thing: NO SAVE FUNCTION IN THE LEVELS! The other versions of the game had it. So why isn't it on iPhone. Update!

Hey guys, this is £2.99! What's the big issue?

I can't think of a better deal than this, being able to play Rayman 2 whenever and wherever- on a bloody phone! I think the port is pretty decent- the controls aren't perfect, but certainly manageable. SanderL140 makes a good point with the iPhone call issue though, something I wasn't aware of as I tried the iPod Touch version.

I don't think gameloft did a bad job at all, and it's nice to see Ubisoft are stilling considering old school Rayman!

The graphics on this game are unlike anything I have ever seen on an iPhone. Too bad everything else is flawed to the point where you can't get any farther in the game. I have beaten the iPhone version of this game so it isn't impossible to beat (it just took a hell of a lot longer than the console version lol).

@gameloft I think that whenever you reach a green lum (checkpoint), the game saves your point. So, when you get a call, you can click Continue and it will bring you to the last green lum you got.
