Maybe he don´t have enough money to buy a better camera. Not every people has parents that can buy anything to their children.
Only because you have a better camera it doesn´t mean that anybody must have one and don´t come with "they are cheaper than before", etc.
He has a Wii, yes; but maybe he´s playing in the house of his girlfriend.
