@doughnutman987 i bought this camera about 2 1/3 months ago, the d3000 takes a little time to get use to but captures clear/detailed photos and allows many different options. only negatives is there is no actual "live view" just shows the photo after taking the picture, and the stock lense that it comes with the 18-55mm lense is a good lense but when it comes to zoom it really lacks that option. but you can easily purchase a 55-200 or 300mm lense, so id recomend it

@OkeyDokey92 VR stands for ( vibration reduction ) and its in the lens not the body.

VR system compensates for image blur caused by small, involuntary movements (from wobbly hands, shooting from a moving vehicle, etc) which are called camera shake
