@Torchmark If you really wanted to make some serious change, specifically in the United States, i'd honestly recommend a constitutional convention. That way you could bypass all three branches. Of course it would take some serious work to motivate the states, but there are plenty of advocates for a convention in state government. It may sound a bit extreme, but the right to a convention was put in to combat stuff like this.

In all honesty, a strong soundtrack is what makes a movie EPIC. This movie is my fave movie other than requiem for a dream. I can't decide between them. Both Amazing.

@SinallaRose This film is based off of the book 1984 and that general idea. The idea that the government is controlling and stuff. However, in the book there was never an overthrowing. Furthermore, it clearly looks as if it is a futuristic society and I am fairly certain in the movie they mention the date at least once.

If I had seen this film 10 years ago, I would have thought it was a bit silly (plot wise). But after what has happened in he last decade this just seems like a future that might not be too far from truth.
Good movie, excellent performance buy Mr weaving. The dagger sequence in the tunnel near the end is a truly inspired action sequence.

@Torchmark Good. Anonymous doesn't have any more right to hacking than governments do. They have acted rashly and while they had the potential to do great things, they have squandered that potential. Those that may have supported them inside the United States government; the people who have seen the corruption but are frozen by political rivals and their corporate allies. Any support that those factions might have given Anonymous has gone up in smoke. There is no excuse for their cyber-attacks.

Don't say. Mass protests or battling it out in courts, we all know how governments get around to handling those means.

@Torchmark If you really wanted to make some serious change, specifically in the United States, i'd honestly recommend a constitutional convention. That way you could bypass all three branches. Of course it would take some serious work to motivate the states, but there are plenty of advocates for a convention in state government. It may sound a bit extreme, but the right to a convention was put in to combat stuff like this.

It starts there. Then moves its way through to an idea, and that idea changes and shapes everything one can be, or what ones ideals are.

@SinallaRose This film is based off of the book 1984 and that general idea. The idea that the government is controlling and stuff. However, in the book there was never an overthrowing. Furthermore, it clearly looks as if it is a futuristic society and I am fairly certain in the movie they mention the date at least once.

@MisterVidicus Yeah, also it wasn't so cut-and-dry in the comic. The only reason the conservatives came to power in the book is because the liberals had destroyed the country to begin with. Not to mention V was definitely more out for revenge and anarchy.

If I had seen this film 10 years ago, I would have thought it was a bit silly (plot wise). But after what has happened in he last decade this just seems like a future that might not be too far from truth.
Good movie, excellent performance buy Mr weaving. The dagger sequence in the tunnel near the end is a truly inspired action sequence.

The domino scene is like one of the best scenes in the history of movies. Not even a joke, the message behind it is just incredible. Yet you almost never hear about this movie. So sad =( but its awesome! =) and im not even into gory stuff but this movie was amazing!
