I have MD and a son with CF and no health care

Do you have a MDA Clinic in your area? They see patients for free. They don't cover everything but they will give you some coverage. I do not know if they have a similar clinic for CF.

I have CMT1a and I live off SSI and $140. a month in FStamps. That only feeds me a little over 2 weeks. I feel your pain, God Bless your family and hang in there.

All of us disabled people need to have our voices heard, make a stand while we physically can. The majority of people that are disabled are forced to live below poverty level in this country. Yet let a lawmaker ie Senator or congressmen become disabled, there is a nice safety net for them to live quite comfortable.. We need to unite and become organized, and have our voices heard.

yeah, well you know that is not going to happen unless the people actually get together. And also I think its bullshit that they don't help the people in need just because they don't have enough money, also its bullshit in Canada, France, Germany they have free health care you know they actually got a good system here its all corrupt and people are power hungry, but you know the people have power and if they do not spend the time...

Move to Canada or France for free health care. Additionally, don't operate under the assumption that you'll someday be incapacitated. Deal with that issue if it comes, but it's illogical/irrational to live as if it's already so, not to mention an unnecessary drain psychologically. Your existential state seems to excessively hinge on what others are doing or not doing, that's a behavioral glitch. Set a goal and reach it and everything will fall into place. For your son, move to Canada.

but its an invisibility to everyone BUT you.

especially the government.

*sigh* I got turned down for life insurance, from a telemarketer, solely because of CMT.

which makes no sense, since 24 bucks a month for 59 years (that would have been the arrangement) is waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy more than anything i would need, ie a wheelchair.. I dont get it.
