With many recent rare and beautiful postings of Jane singing, this remains one of the very few that shows - "LIVE" - the lovely, warm and vibrant Jane. Hope it remains on You Tube - forever!!!!!!
Jane's classical voice training stuck out all over her popular singing. She grew up in Columbia, Missouri, where she went to the University of Missouri and starred in student musical shows. There I believe she was Ellen Jane. She came back to Columbia in the 1960s and married the publisher of the Columbia Tribune. I wrote a story about her in the Columbian Missourian and she sent me a lovely thank you note I still have. She was a very beloved hometown girl.
@VideosTimes2, Thanks for getting back. I guess the problem must have been on my end, but I was unable to get any visuals, or to interact with comments - although I could see those comments - on any of your great Froman postings for quite some time last evening. Just got a big white screen, with the message "Upgrade Now" in big blue letters!!! ??? Is back to normal now.
Thanks again for all of these great postings, by the way!
These few moments are so "up-beat" that I am finding that I have to restrain myself from resorting to a "Froman fix" every day. This clip is truly delightful!
Simply great, those wonderful, innocent variety shows of years long gone past. What a pure delight. They don't make shows like this anymore. Thank you so much for posting these great few minutes of yes-ter-year.
Was this taken from Jane Froman's TV series from the 1950's? Now there was a team for the ages...no Astaire and Rogers, but quite fun. Thank you for posting this, I really enjoyed it.

I love this video! I always delight in watching it. Jack E. Leonard is hilarious.

@dezinator - I didn't know Jack E. could move that well! I remember him as the foremost insult comic, pre-Don Rickles.
