Hundreds of firefighters from all the surrounding counties worked two days and nights in a heroic effort to contain the fires, but high winds Sunday night and all day Monday thwarted their efforts. So the call went out for more volunteer firefighters to join the effort from across the state.
Before they arrived, however, the federal government showed up and claimed it was in charge of the situation.

As soon as i heard about the fires i immediately thought about you guys. sorry to hear about the loss bro, but im glad everyone made it out alive. things can be replaced, we cant be. im gonna see what i can do to help via paypal. i wish you guys all the best, and i do wish there was a way i could come down there to help with the clean-up. I try to find some consolation in the fact that there can't be much more fire risk at my folk's place, cuz everything's burned. Hopefully my theory is correct and they don't have any more flare ups

I was going through the forest when I was driving towards houston I saw the smoke it was a big fire I feel sorry hope they are ok

@1RUNXBL Oh yeah man....the smoke is crazy. Since you saw it, you know how nuts it is. Horizon views are the craziest! I left my house and could see one of the fires......by the time I got to my folk's house, I could still see the same fire on the horizon. Crazy stuff!
