@shadowrichter no idea with boss stuff. i use a pod x3 live and i make my own tone patches. you´ll find a download link in the description of my metal mixing tutorial part 1 video.

@shadowrichter Yes it is possible. It's a lot of work on production though. You run your guitar through your metal core -> Sound card -> 3 or 4 different impulse response -> then you EQ to your taste and voila.

If using 010 (not 013) strings, you believe that you can do this same tone?

@kikonnuy of course you can get the same tone but you cannot tune that low. for this song i droped the 7th string down to F and used a .068 string gauge for it but that one was still a bit floppy.

What've you got under/around the strings past the bridge and at the nut to stop the noise? I've got a Washburn Dime V that runs string through like that and use scrunchies for it...but whatever you have looks a little easier to deal with.
