The state of rock music can be very depressing at times with all the shitty bands out there. But every once in a while I hear a band that restores my faith in rock n roll. Titus Andronicus is one of those bands.
@LiamCrowley1990 well that depends on the point of view, cause No Age play Noise Pop, while Titus Andronicus play more alt-rock, lo-fi and celtic punk. i dont think you can compare them, but i do think they're both great bands
@IamTheScorchedEarth I know they're a bit different, No Age a bit more punky and these a bit more alternative, but I think they can both fall under indie rock. That comment is four months old anyway, I've changed my mind. No Age made a better first impression but Everything In Between isn't an album you can keep listening to whereas I can listen to Titus Andronicus all the time and not get bored by them.

@nachtjager262 I saw an interview with Patrick Stickles where he talked about growing up and wealth. He admits that he comes from a well off background, but has abandoned it. Instead of choosing to take the easy path and accept a hollow, materialistic life, he has chosen to do something artistic, knowing full well that he will more than likely live in squalor. He has cut himself off from that life. To say anything else is to know fuck all about him or the band. Who are you to judge, anyway?

@dasanb punk isnt a sound its an attitude, these guys are definitley a punk band. they arnt like leftover crack or operation ivy but they do have the same mindset. look at the clash, they went from 3 power chord punk rock to reggea and jazz and theyre still considered one of the greatest punk bands of all time.

titus andronicus is amazing along with the band Annasay. I found Annasay on itunes, and they are really good too. Listen to the Annasay song "Winter Air" on itunes or youtube. Good stuff

saw these guys in toronto last weekend and they were awesome! fantastic energy and a great punk band.
sadly they were opening for a country/rock band so most of the crowd didn't get it.
