When you get in the helicopter and it says to "get low and stay close", I thought it meant I needed to get close to the water level and shoot him. Well, after 10 tries of getting low, and falling in the fucking water I saw this and realized you don't need to be close or low. FUUUUUUUU

The first time I did this mission, the missile hit my helicopter (like it was supposed to) and killed me. You're not supposed to die IN the chopper, are you?!?!

Ah, finally beat this motherfucker. Probably about 8-12 tries. The key for me was to resist the urge to speed on the motorcycle. When you speed it kills just about all of your ability to control the damn thing. Oh yeah, and try not to fall in the water before you get on the bike. I did that 2 or 3 times. really fuckin annoying.

My game just fucking froze at the cutscene where the helicopter landed. Niko got out of the copter, ran off and the camera just stayed on the helicopter. That was my 7th fucking attempt. I give up.

I love this game but there is one thing that I don't like about it....

There isn't a real Mafia story where you do Mafia Missions with a real Mafia family...you work only for little criminals....

my suggestion is when you make it the chopper ignore the game and gain altitude and just head towards hapiness island it worked for me

But every mission fail got annoying, not because I failed, but because I had to start from the VERY beginning. At least SR2 had checkpoints. Ish gets repetitive and aggravating....

@JakaxBone3672 watch the video. all you have to do is wait for the chopper to get shot down apparently. if u can get that far (and you should be able to) it shouldn't be a problem...about to try it myself. after failing probably a dozen times, 3-4 times in the chopper because i tried to go low altitude and actually kill the guy i was supposed to kill.

Checkpoints are a must in the game. I did everything, chased Pegorino across Happiness Island, then at the last second he killed me....don't I get some sort of leeway since I already completed 99% of the mission??!!!

This is bullshit,. Right before the scene where I went down stairs to ride bike, I walk slow towards pegorino, slow enough to not spook him and ride away. I put out my grenades straight to where he at in the radar. After 4 grenades, his boat explodes and the missions failed saying "Pegorino got away".. Wtf, he got away to heaven or hell?
