My uncle performing bull sounds , thanks . This is hilarious and will provide entertainment for all
could have done without the lift music - Better to shoot and eat an abundant wild beast than fund the farmed meat industry... which clearly is much harsher.
@xLordOfTheFliesx On a side note, I hope you do not live in a populated city area and at the same time preach about how humans should have no involvement in a changing biosphere. It's city-slickers and societal progressives that bend, break, tame, and change the true natural world on Earth with skyscrapers, asphalt streets, infrastructure, etc. None of which I have a problem with in centralized areas...but it would make you a hypocrite.
@xLordOfTheFliesx Humans are a product of nature and therefore part of the biosphere. I live in California where we have Roosevelt Elk in the coastal hills. There are no natural predators for these 900-1200 pound bulls other than man himself. Without a regulated hunting season they would overpopulate. Don't forget we once came from the wilderness; it's in our blood and anyone who thinks we are above a place in the natural world has lost basis with reality.
@AmarilloJack - Roosevelt Elk - What were they called before that? I agree with your comments.. although, if all 6 billion of us agreed we'd have some troubles...
Elk are great animals. One of my favorites. I'd really like to hunt one, though I already have a set of mounted antlers in my home from one my grandparents killed years ago..
I live in NW Montana, and it used to be a pretty regular thing to hear an elk bugle like this in the fall. But since the greenies shoved these wolves down our throats and they're now overpopulated, elk are getting more and more rare in these parts. A great big thanks to all the bunny huggers out there!!!!!!!!! Down with wolves!!!!! Long live the elk!!!!!!!
Lol! That sounded like it hurt a little :P! I remember when I was little my parents would always take me to colorado and we'd sit and watch these things make their ..."noise" but I never remembered them sounding quite like this :P (I'm lovin' the music in btw) ^.^
Im going to hunt cow this fall in EstesPark.. .50 cal Muzzle loading. I guess alot of CWD is going on, so if thats what I get, Im at least helping the enviroment.
People, don't downvote someone for hunting. It's a part of our heritage as humans, and allows a lot of people to enjoy the outdoors. Also, especially for ungulates like Elk and Deer, sometimes you need to run culls. Those furry bastards do nothing but eat, and they can destroy a small biosphere EASILY if overpopulated.
@Alecslibido The way I see it is as long as hunting is performed strictly for consumption it can turn out to be a blessing in disguise. What a lot of animal activists fail to realize is that animals that are hunted don't go through as much stress as an animal in a slaughterhouse, plus you are less likely to waste food as you will pretty much kill only what you need. Bounty hunting is a much different story though...
Biosphere's do not need to be "regulated" by human beings. They change and morph and replace themselves over long periods of time. Nature doesn't need us. One can enjoy the outdoors without having to kill things in it.
Hmmm good question. I'd have to research it. Off the cuff, my answer would be...if humans contributed to their near extinction, yes, fix what we did. If it was a natural disappearance, let the planet fill the niche how it pleases.
@xLordOfTheFliesx actually hunting helps keep animals population to a good carry capacity, the more animals in a biosphere, the more food that will be consumed, meaning many animals will starve as a result of overpopulation.
Well, yes. You are right about that. I'm implying that that happens naturally. And that maybe humans should keep our noses out of it. I suppose it's complicated. But then again, I would MUCH rather have people hunting than humans destroying forests and polluting oceans. So while it's strange to see hunters petitioning for protected parks, it's a lovely gesture. Anyhow, I'll be in Colorado soon, and I wonder if I'll see any of these guys.
@xLordOfTheFliesx i love these "peaceful" arguments lol, its nice to not have someone flip out at me over a youtube comment lol. and es, you do have a valid point about hunting or destroying national parks. btw have fun in colorado, beautiful state
