About that "magic age" of discovering Python: I was 14, and it was the same year that I realized I was an atheist. Journey of wonderful self-discovery ever since! :-)
Both of my parents were fans and so I grew up with Python as simply a part of my life. They have colored the way I see the world and how I interact with reality. They showed me how silly it was to take life as seriously as other people did. I can honestly say that they helped to make my life better and happier than it might have been without them. Congrats to them on 40 years of hilarity and silliness.
Honestly one reason why they guys were so big in America is because of how they talked. I could laugh just listening to them spout nonsense. The movies were good though, they were amazing.
Um...the name of the fucking show is "Countdown w/Keith Olbermann." AND THAT'S KEITH OLBERMANN! lol
But beside being in the show's NAME, KO had already been famous for making ESPN's SportsCenter in the mid '90's, and he was on MSNBC 'til he left in '97 (because they were overhyping the Clinton witch hunt), Fox Sports until ~2001 when he reported that Murdoch was selling his baseball team, and was so fired by him, then back on MSNBC from 2003-2011 (probably the position for which he
Isn't it funny. I have no idea who the interviewer is! And he doesn't make himself sound any more interesting or respectable by assuming we all know who he is. The Pythons, of course are impeccable. It's a sub-hoot watching this nonentity telling other people who the Pythons are. So sad.
Every time I want to hate Keith for bringing that rabid typical pundit rage and irrelevent inflamatory comments from "the other side" to us lefties, he has amazing comedians on and makes me like him again. George Carlin, the Pythons... he has awesome taste!
How very odd - I also discovered Monty Python around the age of 11. I remember watching public television while staying over at my grandparents house and being treated to Cleese's silly walk. I've been a fan ever since.
Thank heavens for these comedic geniuses, and thank you for uploading this.
Is it just me, or does Cleese look a bit like Sean Connery or Kelsey Grammer now?

All of them just get funnier as they get older. I'm so sad that Chapman never had that chance. :-(

Olbermann claims to have stolen material from MP? But, for that to be true, Olbermann would have to have been funny at least once...

I had to say "HOLY CRAP" when Terry Gilliam said "Magic Age is 11"
Spot on! I discovered Monty Python at eleven...exactly a year after my brother discovered it at eleven.

Amazing. The Pythons paid Keith a huge compliment, then Keith cleverly re-paid the compliment!
They Pythons are Olbermann fans!
Amazing!!!
