@kungharry I'm not sure which book you mean (There are a few Halo 1 books and I've only read one of them), but yeah you can put AI in the multiplayer levels as well as set them to spawn infinitely so in theory a firefight (survival) game mode is possible.

@WildYojimbo uhm, " the flood", which follows master chief and the base on the first halo ring. hm, that sounds good. can you get them to "live" in a herd, complete with counterattacks and finding a suitable base? so that you can actually wage warfare against them (although they will never quite run out)...

@kungharry I've seen levels with herds of flood in wait for the player, but having them move in search of suitable bases against the player I'm not sure I can do. The closest I can get is to give the flood a base where they continually spawn. It would still make "warfare" possible against them, it would just mean they'd always be at their starting base which means you'd always know where they were. Having them move through the whole map after the player I've never seen, but it may be possible.

@hunterxxx11 well sort of, you need to purchase halo 1 for pc, then you can get halo custom edition for modding, but you need to buy halo 1 so you have a cd key that you can enter.

2. Download halo CE from halomaps.org

3. download a TON of maps, and put them in the "maps" folder in C:\program files\ microsoft games\ halo ce\ maps.
