To unlock Meta Knight, get 100% in the regular game mode, and then get 100% in Extra game mode. To get 100%, you have to find all those big red star buttons. Most of them are pretty obvious if you look, but a few might be a bit difficult. Online walkthroughs are useful.

After you beat 100% regular, Extra will be unlocked, where you have only 3 HP instead of 6. After you get 100% in THAT, you get Meta Knight. >_>

I don't have this game but I can play as him in Kirby Super Star Ultra and I love playing as him! I can just heal easily whenever I get taken down. Costs me pp but I can just earn energy back easily by taking down enemies!

Nintendo honestly should just make a game where you play solely as Metaknight. He's too good of a character to just to be a side addition to Kirby games.

I'm pretty sure the areas from this level were remade for Spring Breeze Mode in Kirby Super Star, and Revenge of the King in SSU, along with the ones from Kirby's Dream Land.
