  • good quali:D

  • @RichardElden OMG, no! Harris (not a very nice man, apparently) never directed anything, nor he wrote any show or screenplay (as Newley did). As far as I know he was never an entity on tv (Newley was a tv star since early on). The few songs that Harris actually wrote are virtually unknown. But Newley's Goldfinger, Feeling Good and What Kind of Fool Am I (to name only 3) are timeless classics! The same can be said about the shows that he wrote and directed. Harris was a good actor no allrounder

  • @EnniTom I agree. Anthony Newley was unforgettable - and sadly under-rated. Such is 'power' in the entertainment business.

  • I recognize that street from the Doctor Who episode 'Amy's Choice' From 2:00

  • I just watched this movie for the first time in years and can't get this song out of my head. Therefore I am going to embrace it and play it louder!

  • I love this song it is the my ringtone on my phone two thumbs up for this movie

  • the only movie i saw twice at the cinema as a child i loved it

  • Anthony Newley is a legend of a magnitude that the world has NEVER seen! Who else (in any era) could sing, act, mime, dance, write music, write lyrics and just plainly charm the way he could? Name one!

  • im doing this play this summer!

  • @binajean15 God Bless.

  • i have the actual movie from 1967:)my dad bought it

  • @mintosmuzika Oh, you RAIN! Why do you go spoil a lovely thought like that?

  • Thank you so much for this. <3 Even though I'm just 18, this has got to be one of my favorite musicals.

And to think, there are still little villages like that out in the European countyside. c:

  • @HyperHanyoGal780 Of Course!

  • LALALALA!!! :) love this song

  • ok, this is weird, i was watching this on DVD the other day, and the image is inverted! why???

  • @interspark Its inverted so it won't be taken down due to the copyright.

  • Newley was totally committed to his performance in this movie. I love the piece, and Bricusse's songs are memorable and timeless. The critics be damned--it's a classic and still fun to watch all these years later. Everyone should spend a rainy afternoon with this film--they don't make 'em like this any more. "It's altogether Marvelous!"

  • Please upload the movie! I can't find it anywhere on Google!

  • @jfkjrlover buy it on i tunes not too expensive

  • I'M SO HAPPY YOU UPLOADED THIS. :D I use to love this movie when I was little, especially this song! <3 Thanks so much!

  • This was one of my favorite movies when I was a little kid, and this song was always stuck in my head for the rest of the day whenever I'd watch it.

  • I love this clip, am I the only oen that has a crush on that adorable irish guy?!? I LOVE HIM!!

  • @celticgurl93 I love him too!! <3

  • Thanks so much for posting this and all your other Dolittle videos. This is one of my favorite films!

  • i always liked dr. doolittle. danny.

  • i love this movie :)

  • The film is backwards! All the words are reversed! What happened?

  • he does understand the irish

  • That, I think, is the single most annoying differece between the book and other movie adaotations: in the book and this movie, Dolittle learns it like any other language. But everywhere else, it has to be a special power. It just makes so much more sense the original way.

  • @megadork456 I completely agree! I hated the Eddie Murphy version. The makers of that film clearly did not understand the book (if they even read it, which is doubtful since that film encompassed approximately .02% of the story). It might as well have been a completely different story, which of course it was, except for the doctor's name.

My mother read me the books when I was about six, and I was enchanted. Still am.

  • @megadork456 I grew up with this film and nothing can come close to being as magical, beautiful or meaningful, with the songs, the sceneries, the story etc. I do appreciate the remakes as very well done films, but I have to dismiss them as anything to do with the original, apart from them having the same name, as they are of completely different quality... this version being pure quality!

  • @megadork456 OH Yeah! ! !

  • @megadork456 I completely agree...

  • @megadork456 This is why Rex Harrison will forever be the only true Dr. Dolittle. Eddie Murhpy is a hack

  • This is my favourite part of the movie! Thanks for sharing it! ^_^

  • thanks for this song!!!

  • @stargatefansg1 yes thank you thank you for this song!
