I think Herb's an awesome drummer, but I liked Brain's enthusiasm. Herb just kind of sits there. I guess I'm in the minority.

I lack knowledge on what makes a good drummer, sorry. All I can say is that I enjoy Herb's playing more than Brain's.

Where my opinion is picked up on is that I hated the Brain-era Primus, i.e. Antipop, and Brown album. (I do enjoy Laquerhead though).

First off, Brain didn't play double bass, so on all the previous songs before him he had to change them to play them on a single set kit. I like Brain. Anyone who plays with Primus is bound to be good, but I think Herb just is a better fit simply because of all the albums they put out with him.
