ghost programme I have ever seen and think I ever will. It has left a lasting impression on me, a GOOD lasting impression. I LOVED it =)
As much as Ghostwatch gave other writers and directors plot ideas, Ghostwatch is irreplaceable. Best ghost drama.
Two thumbs up, Five stars and a HUGE pat on the back to the creators, you guys really deserve all the recognition for all your hard work and awesome ideas.
Keep up the wicked work. Off to rewatch Ghostwatch, it NEVER gets old......unlike me =P
I first watched Ghostwatch on Halloween night back in1992 as an 8 year old with my mum and my 10 year old brother. I couldn't believe how amazing it was. I was 100% convinced it was real, but I have to say, I love being scared, so it was an exciting night for me. I remember we were all sat on seperate seats at the start of the show, a few minutes in, we were huddled on the same seat lol. I truly have to congratulate the shows creators for such an amzing success. It really is THE single best
Many years ahead of its time. And in my view the imitators though having larger budgets were far less effective. I remember hushed discussions in the playground about it when I was 14. what it doesn't show causes the imagination to run wild.
i was 8 or 9 when i watched this, but it had been taped and i watched it the next day because it was on after my bedtime. even with my minder telling me it wasnt real by the end of the programme to calm me down, i was a wreck when i went to bed that night, my dad wiped the tape the next day so i could never watch it again. i saw it recently and it still chilled me to the core.
i was 9 wen i saw this on halloween 92 it was the most frightning thing i had seen at that i couldnt sleep alone for weeks after it i realy did think it was real lol and i remember walkin to skool in the mornin the followin monday i kept having to stop and look behind me coz it was still dark at half 8 in the mornin in the winter lol
I remember watching this as a 14 year old kid back in 92. I was in two minds as to whether it was real or not because nothing like this had ever been shown before. If they were to do it today it probably wouldn't work. It was before reality tv, before the introduction of cable tv in the Uk and a tc in general was far more innocent. Ghostwatch turned tv on it's head and it scared the shit out of me but I loved it!
I was 16 at the time of broadcast, but woke up sweating several times in the night convinced Sarah Greene was dead. Who on Earth would present next week's 'Going Live'!?
I was 10 when this first came on tv, i remember bbc 2 had a whole night of halloween stuff. this had to be the best thing to do with halloween ive ever seen, just to get the whole country in a state of panic is enough. didnt sleep that night. classic
