  • Zhin, what are you doing at 2:15 to 2:22?

  • ZHIN, @1:41 after the words "Hoochie Coochie man" what three notes are you playing? Are you also using a D harp in 2nd position?

  • @meblaw1 Yep it's a D harp in 2nd and I think the notes are 5 draw, 4 draw, 4 draw bend, 4 draw.

  • zhin put in a lot of effort :)

  • ditto.

  • Just curious how much theory do you know?

  • Enough to know what key/position on the right harp when the song key is given to me. Some basic theory of course. I can't name notes and all that though. I don't remember notes by names. Just the sounds. I am more biased towards using my ears. I play what I hear in my head. I imitate what I hear as well obviously. I listen to a lot of guitar players to give me ideas. Thanks for asking!

  • Nope not really. I mean I did try a few in the past but it was never a durable thing. Like one of those "hey lets try that" moments and then you give up after 3 days... I barely played or learned anything useful enough to help me with the harp if that's what you're asking. I do love singing when I'm alone though which could have had some influence. I'm going to incorporate that into my actual playing in time.

  • Great !!!

Zhin you got the sound !!

    Thanks a lot for sharing.

    Steph.

  • Thank you! This one was with my old amp. I'm using a different one with a different mic now! :)

  • caaaayyaaaa laaaaaaa.........

  • Nice going

  • Zhin! You sound great! The band is great! Just a wonderful job overall! I'm really glad to finally get videos of you up there doing your thing... Fantastic!

By the way, isn't there a second D1 in that riff between the D2bb and the other D2bb? ie:

    D1 : D2bb : D1 : D2bb : D2

That's how I do it anyway.. Just checking to see how you play it...

    Cheers,

    Isaac

  • That version is actually Mannish Boy before it became the chord riff. The one with the extra D1.

I like the original D1, D2B, D2B, D2 because it lines up perfectly with the tempo of the entire band. Giving that signature "heartbeat" feel to the rhythm.

And thanks for the support Isaac. :)

  • Leaving out that D1 in the middle also presents more tension...

  • Good Job! I just gotta go learn this tune!

  • The main riff is just D1, D2B, D2B, D2.

And thanks for the support Oldwailer. It means a lot to me.
