I <3 this game so friggin' much you don't even know! I haven't even nabbed half the achievements or gained Super Sonic. Just feels really nice. Eager for Sonic 4 Episode 2 (and 3 if sales for Ep.2 are good). Sonic Generations should rock!

Just wish Sonic Team allowed Sonic to have more momentum AND acceleration to toss around in Sonic 4, and even in the yet to be released Sonic Generations...He seems to hit or get caught in invisible walls that break his fluidity/momentum.

Honestly there's not alot of point in Super Sonic in Sonic 4. I mean in Sonic 3 the badniks were threats and it was fun to just plough through them but here that homing attack of his prettymuch defeats the point.

Eh... from what I see, this game doesn't stack up to the originals. Audio sounds good, gameplay looks nice... but the graphics are missing that certain sparkle that make the old ones superior. Take a look at Green Hill Zone's background in Sonic 1, and it pretty much makes you fall in love with it. There's something amazing about it... but Sonic 4's background seems empty and that same experience simply just isn't there.

Sonic 3 was the prime. Especially when combined with Sonic & Knuckles. It had so much content. You could use Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Super Sonic, and Hyper Sonic... but Sonic 4 from all I've seen only has Sonic, and Super Sonic.

Although... I guess you could also argue that it's a nice change from the 3D ones... Hopefully Episode 2 has more content. I'm also hoping Episode 1 is just a "taste" of what's to come.

There are always special stages in Sonic 1, 2, 3 ,4. They're all different to get to except Sonic the hedgehog 4. And in those special stages, there are chaos emeralds, to get the chaos emeralds, you have to complete the special stage. When you have collected all 7 chaos emeralds, you can now grab 50 rings, and jump, you will then turn into super sonic.

So, since I haven't collected all the emeralds yet (though I'm really close. I just need two more) can I ask how Super Sonic is? Is he as awesome as he was back when we could play as him in levels still? Because I really want to earn him and be reminded of how awesome it was to play as him in the actual levels before he became a dues ex machnia plot device that was only used in the final boss fights. @zombieman841 I'm really hoping I can beat special stage 7 then, since its the last one I need and then I can go Super Sonic. But the last special stage is really hard and almost impossible, and to make matters worse unlike the others where you only needed to worry about running out of time mostly, the last special stage is one thats trying to make you hit the exit things that kick you out of the special stage so you can't really rely on restarting the stage. Got any advice for the 7th emerald?

@Thenumber1yoshi It really isn't that hard, you don't have to worry about time as much as u do unlocking all those doors. Focus on getting as many rings as u see going through the special stage then when you actually get to the final door it is already open and you can avoid those red "!"s. Hope that helps. :)

@zombieman841 Ok I finally got the last emerald, and I did try out Super Sonic and he's as awesome as ever, plus I really like how they made it a bit more opitional to play as him because you have to press the 1 button (I'm using the Wii version but I don't restrict Myself to one console and I don't think anyone else should and I think fanboyism in console wars is stupid) if you want to play as him, though if there is one thing I'm going to do before getting the best ending *2bcont.*
