What on earth is the Doctor wearing in this episode?! It looks like a pair of chequered boxershorts OVER a pair of green jeans. Oh and suspenders to hold the boxershorts in place?! I want the waistcoat back!
The Doctor has so many facets- he has one of the most brilliant minds in history, yet he can act so exccentric and childlike. One minute he can be haughty and standoffish, the next passionate and completely bonkers! Such a wonderful, memorable character! Tom Baker is my all-time favorite Doctor, although David Tenant is a very close second!
It isnt the sonic screwdriver its a tracer used to convert disguised segments of the key to time back to there proper form, If he didnt end the story like that it wouldnt make sense. :-)
i purchased a so called sonic screwdriver from b and q at the weekend battery lasted 5 fuckin minutes and u only get 1 so u have to wait till it charges b4 u can use it again, where was the fuckin timelord when i was hanging me shithouse door?
XD I'm only 13, and I've only been watching Dr.Who for a couple months now, but I love it..thank you for posting this video, I'd love to see more of the different doctors!
Ah yes, Tom Baker and the infamous sonic screwdriver... now THOSE were the good ol' days of Doctor Who! Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they're still making the new episodes, but they just don't have the charm and charisma that Baker's Doctor and Sarah Jane had! (my favorite Doctor/sidekick duo)
How could anyone not appreciate the value of Doctor Who, more specifically the Baker Doctor, who in my opinoin was the best. I even have made a scarf like his. I'm a huge huge fan, and I'm an American, and wasn't even born when some of the episodes where made.
I'd forgotten all about the key to time - what an awesome set of episodes they were. But yeah, special effects were never Dr Who's strong point. LOL. You really had to use your imagination, and not a bad thing either.
bloody hell, now I have to go find my old tape of this episode and the others than made up the Key to Time story arc. Time to get the next generation initiated into the wonders (and cheap special effects) of the old Doctor Who :)
actually... "The Doctor has worked out that Kroll has been magnified to giant proportions by a segment of the Key to Time, disguised as a Swampie relic which the squid creature swallowed along with a previous High Priest. He uses the Tracer to eliminate the giant Kroll and retrieve the fifth segment of the Key."
what the fuk is disi dont get it and i hate eisodes where thing are solved with aflick of the sonic screwdrivefr too but it wanst a sonic screwdrive i dunno wat it was

that wasn't the sonic. Something to do with a story arc about the Key to Time - out of context, it was a bit bizarre.

That was totally bizzare, i hate the dr who epsidoes where everything is solved with the sonic screwdriver.
