I'm too early on in the game to grow rice. What 'by-products' work? I've been using pet food and in my other game save (which I really messed up) I used eggs which he likes. Any other easy-to-get items for Vaughn?

How long do you need to court Vaughn, to get him a red heart. I unlocked all the main characters, upgraded my house and he's still in purple heart T_T I'm tempted to marry Shea....

@KaixTomiko Since Vaughn only comes twice a week, it takes longer to court/woo him. It took me around 3 years with my tactics. You can get him to red even quicker or slower, depending how you go about wooing him.

Talk to him multiple times a day

Give him a gift every day he's there (egg, milk, chocolate, etc.....)

I'm on summer 30, year 2, and he's at blue heart

be persistent!

Okay, first, have you seen the purple heart cutscene? If yes, how did you answer it.

If you answered correctly, you will see this heart cutscene (blue heart cutscene #1). If you answered incorrectly, you will see the blue heart cutscene #2.

Depending on how you answer, you will see different heart events. There are 4 paths that you can take when seeing heart events. All 4 paths are in the video description. I hope that make sense.

A blue heart event. But Vaughn was at a green heart, just because it took me a while to activate this event. It really doesn't matter how high his heart is, as long it is at or above the indicated colour of the heart event.

Well, it took a while for me to unlock this event, since getting the requirements right was a bit tricky. So that's why he's green. Remember, heart events can trigger at or above the indicated heart colour.

It's somewhat difficult, time-wise, anyway. It takes around 2 years, for me, anyway. Gifts shouldn't be hard to get, though. Milk and shiitakes are good enough gifts.

Requirements to Get Married

- Seen all the heart events in your path

- 50% completion of the island done

- Bought the wife/husband bed from Chen after you upgraded your house to the largest size

- Have the church, Nathan, and Alisa living on the island

- Unlock the 23 main portraited characters

The blue feather will appear in Chen's store for 1000G when someone reaches an orange heart or higher.

he likes milk alot, he also like chocolate, once you get him finnally if you dont have a cow yet give him chocolate, once you do have a cow give him milk, when you get a kitchen, make hot chocolate milk, its just milk + chocolate

No worries! If you pick the wrong choice in the blue heart event #1, you go see the yellow heart event #2. There is no harm in answering the events wrong, besides the fact the person loses 3000AP, but that can be easily gain back.

At first, before Fall and I had chickens, I gave him eggs. When Fall happens, I saved up matsuke(sp?) mushrooms. It gives Vaughn 500AP. If I run out of those, I give him milk.

When you accomplish that, Charlie will help you smash the boulder on your farm. The rice paddy holds four rows of 3 x 10 soil that can only be used for planting and growing Rice. No other crops can be used in the paddies. The Rice Seeds can be purchased from Chen after you unlock the rice paddy. He sells them for 200 G a bag."

Are you sure she's at a red heart? Since her heart is invisible, you can't tell what heart colour she has. Does she blush when you talk to her?
