Has anybody here even looked at the Vostok Ice Core data? After the cap melts, many things will happen in relatively quick succession. The albedo rises, more atmospheric heat means more water vapor, this will lead much precipitation and ultimately to another ice age. While the south pole will begin to warm. Warm sea water travels from the equator to North Pole by ocean currents. Warm water then sinks at the North Pole- and that is what gives seas the oxygen needed for sea life to exist . If the North Pole melts,then warm sea water wouldn't sink- and oxygen wouldn't enter the ocean current system which travels around the World- and lack of oxygen would kill all sea life.
